I mean,all you need to do to solve that is poke it with a Thunderstone and don't move the stone until Pikachu is evolved.
Pikachu refuses to evolve.
As fir his team, it's certainly powerful. But it has a major weakness to Electric, Rock, and Dragon types.

the gym battles look less bland than I remembered them. There were some really good fight scenes. But the camera rotations still bother the heck out me.

Ultra Sun & Moon has its moments, like the Brock & Misty mega gamefreak call back comeo and ash winning the league, plus some others...
But XYZ is still the best I've seen yet. in terms of action and style. but the animators for XYZ, ARE the Pokemon Origins animators so it's no contest.
Hope they ask them to come back for a project in the future.

ISETDM, there might be a serious problem with AMVs starting on 6/25/16 (Or 25/6/16). Japanese animation studios have sent out these "Pirate Hunters" to find, what they assume to be, pirated content. Japan doesn't have many fair use laws so AMVs may be considered pirated content and could all be taken down with copyright strikes. Since you only need three strikes for your channel to be deleted, I'd recommend keeping only 2 AMVs up at a time until this matter is settled.
