I attended Rockwood School (near Stonewall and Stony Mountain) which was also the centre of all community functions including serving as the church. It was built in 1874. When the school and its grounds were sold and the school was demolished, community life soon followed. All that remains are wonderful memories and the cemetery which is still in use.
Why can't you give credit to the music that you use? There are some very nice pieces that I'd like to hear more of, if I knew who they were written by or performed by.
What a great series.

My Father attended Meadowvale School No. 241 back in the day. He's now 82. That school is now a private residence. History is facinating indeed!
Another excellent episode 👏 .
Beautiful...would love to photograph this place ❤️
Thank You Folks!
my father grew up on a farm outside of Plumas and remembers attending a one room school house in his early school years (around 1963)

Neat!! Thanks!
This video was just published in 2020, but I believe the school was demolished in 2018 as there is just a monument now. When was the video taken?
Did you ever find out if it was demolished?
This block structure should have been easy to maintain over time had anyone given a shit

Ayr School was located southeast of Neepawa. See some information and a map on the MHS website: www.mhs.mb.ca/docs/sites/ayrschool.shtml
