Great video mate, really enjoyed it. Similar species as we get here in Ireland and by the looks of it, it's also hard to get close. In Spain lately, I couldn't believe the amount of raptors compared to what we have in Ireland. You got me itching to go out and make a video about birds now, just picked up that lens for the R5.
Hi, is there a specific predatory bird that is your 100 % most favourite ? Though I have never actually seen any other raptors with my own eyes, just from watching on TV, magazines, and GOOGLE and UA-cam, the Peregrine Falcon is the most beautiful raptor that I love the most. 👍👍👍👍👍👍🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I enjoyed the weekly round up. A nice idea to carry forward. I tend to go to Rainham and it is amazing that although it is just across the river from Crossness it does seem to throw up more Birds. I have also noticed that some Insects from the Bexley area are not seen at Rainham even though it is just across the Thames.
@@eljayr4669 definitely more birds at Rainham, but the few times I’ve gone, I’ve found it more of a scope kinda place. Never came away with any close photos. Also, the barrier for me is the Dartford Crossing. Not only is it £5 round trip, but traffic is always insane both ways. Always puts me off.
Really enjoy your channel, quite a new subscriber, born many years ago in Bexley now live in Canterbury, so you cover a lot of my geography. Did you use any tools/apps to develop your knowledge of bird song?
@@sagaloo1 the birdnet app will birds quite accurately. Otherwise it was just watching and listening. Eventually you just naturally remember who is singing what.
By the way, are there snakes 🐍 and lizards 🦎 in the grass areas you walk on where raptors can Shrikes can easily hunt other than fish 🐟 in the mudflats ?
Your video is very good and interesting. Wish you health and success!

Male or female? Who knows for sure? Nice to see them whatever. Good round up Justin.
@@timballard27 I saw a very light one, assume the female, so the one in this video is probably male.

@@markshen3280 nothing dangerous here in the UK. Will be the odd lizard & snake, but harmless
