I was in first grade when goldfinches settled onto the lawn after a rain. I had to stand on my tiptoes to see out the window, but they were SO yellow! I was hooked for life.
Hi Bob. Wanted to thank you on the tip about Edwin B Forsythe NWR ( Brigantine) we took a road trip down to there and Bombay Hook. Had a great time and saw a ton of birds!! Thanks again!
I did not even notice many of the finches. Now I can start to know what I don't know. Again. Your lessons astound Sir. So much to learn from your profound videos. Thank you again.
I spent most of my life thinking this stuff was hard to learn. Then, I realized there are easy shortcuts once you know what to look for and listen for. That's made my birding life a whole lot easier!
The grouse man.Great to see you again.I subbed about 8 months ago,and have loved every minute.I loved your videos about the blue grouse, and the little owls.
@@Bob_Duchesne I am 61 yrs old and since the late 1980s have watched the bobwhite quail and whiperwill nearly go extinct. If you see or hear either one,it is very rare.
We never really had bobwhite in Maine, but we had and have whippoorwills. They declined when suburbia took over farm land, but they're still pretty dang noisy if you know where to look up here.
Another great ornithology lesson. Thanks, Bob
bob! i love your videos so much as a young and hopefully for-life birder. keep up the good work man, you’re a real inspiration!

Thanks Bob. I'm envious of your ability to distinguish the birds by sound. I'm not sure I'll ever get it but your videos are certainly helping.
Wonderful video, I learn so much from each of your videos! Thank you
It took me a LONG time to learn this stuff. May as well share it. Thanks.

It hurts. I'm in New Jersey right now, but no time to go over there. I hate driving by without stopping. I've never been there in March.
Bob you deserve 1 million subscribers
That sounds like a lot of work.
@@Bob_Duchesne Shouldn't need to change a thing! With your filming skills, video editing skills, and personality you should already have that many.

YES! Got my lifer Colima's warbler and Lucifer's hummingbird there.
Your camera cutting from front view to side view is very distracting....
