    I love this, and it turned out fantastic. I’ve been using the same iron technique for many things and what a lifesaver. But, I find that once you put the second coat of podge on/and then the varnish, it seems to bring back some wrinkling which is maddening. I e always used parchment paper, but does the wax paper give it another coating? .. and I’m assuming it’s one sided wax paper. Does that help it in any way not to cause wrinkles the second time around? Great job!

      @Bee-Kind-Baker 2 роки тому +1

      Hello, after your initial coat of MP, add napkin, iron and go directly to your varnish or lacquer. The second coat of MP isn’t necessary. You won’t get bubbling. Anytime you add a water-based product to another water- based product, you’ll get the wrinkle monster! A girl in my group , that’s an absolute pro, always uses lacquer spray.
      By the way , only use parchment paper

      Thanks Clare ❤️✨ for a table top you could use an exterior varnish that’s generally used for outdoor furniture.

    Cute and a good idea but it's not really découpage. Découpage in French translates to cutting. It is a form of collage.

      Rekha what? The cabinet turned Out beautiful and it's a piece that comes in very handy and can be used for a lifetime for various purposes.

    • @mylittlecraftplace2754
      @mylittlecraftplace2754 6 років тому +8

      Not to be rude Rekha but you clearly do not understand the value of a handmade one of a kind creation. I see you are looking at this from a very practical point of view, which is understandable. However, Artists and crafters are very creative and making a unique item is just as much fun as having the finished product. Also, unique items like this make such wonderful gifts for friends and family.

    • @shaheenmiranda5349

      Rekha You really must be a very boring person as your comment shows that creativity is a waste of time for you. I wonder what your hobbies are? Gossiping maybe? 🤔

    • @janebennett3480
      @janebennett3480 6 років тому +4

      Rekha has no idea of satisfaction and pleasure being the value for time here, money is not the ONLY value in exchange for time.
