The pure joy and satisfaction on Ray’s face over that hat and the mittens is contagious. I found myself sitting here with the biggest cheesiest grin on my face watching him. They turned out so adorable.
Kevin I love the choice of dark green for your nephews sweater it looks so cuddly and perfect.
Aww thanks so much! Kid knits are so cute 🥰
I’m so happy how popular you both have become. I so wish I could see you in person a lot. It would be so awesome to hang out with you. You both make my heart so happy 💜
Aww thanks Pam.
Worked great as a live, good job! It’s my birthday today 🎉 and as my treat, last weekend we went to the Masham sheep fair-fantastic fun! Huge old Yorkshire marketplace full of aaaalll the different breeds of sheep, including Masham of course! 😍🐏😍🐑 They say the town massam 🤩👍🏻
Happy birthday! 🎁🎊🎈🎂🎉 We hope you had an amazing day ❤️❤️
🎉 I won! I watch you while on the treadmill and almost fell off! Thank you, so excited!
Yay, congrats!
Glad to see you're progressing with the pullover. You're breaking the bank... if only.
So much love as you knit for your godchildren. It just warms me to my soul! Love you two.
Thank you Pam.
Hey guys, I watched this podcast as a replay and at the time that others were saying they were experiencing a lagging or glitch, I also experienced the same thing. Also, it happened again toward the end when you were talking about the two fiber events coming up. Both times this happened I just let the video go and correct itself and it didn't take very long, maybe a minute or two. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the feedback. We must have hit a lag spike or something with our internet or UA-cam
Kevin, if you ever feel embarrassed about having too much yarn, I would be happy to take anything you don't want off your hands. 😁😜😘
Haha 😂 deal!
It's always a pleasure watching your podcast, enjoying the fun and yarny goodness. I just visited the website and love what I saw so I would be placing my order. Lovely.❤
Oh thank you! 😊
Always enjoy your podcasts. Sorry I missed you at Skein Yarn shop in East Greenwich RI on 9/23. Weather ptsd after all these deluges. Had to go up to Boston that afternoon so decided not to travel south in the AM. Rain ended out mellow on Saturday - got whammed on our return Sunday….. You guys have had some adventures traveling to yarn events! Your hand knit & crochet projects are gorgeous. Internet was wobbly briefly on post live, but no ads. Look forward to saying hi at Rhinebeck, Wool & Folk and NE Fiber Festival!
Yay!! Definitely would love to chat and say hi! See you in less than 2 weeks!!!!
Thats an awesome baby pattern I just got it my neices baby.
Glad you survived the NYC rainy deluge. Scary.
Dang it, missed the live!! I saw the notification, but I was busy..... adulting sucks.
Love the "Kirby"!! Still need to get the pattern.
Amazingly, I've purchased very little!! Having a sample knit to do helps. 😉
Sample knits are great motivation lol 😂
That House of Diamonds is awesome. Great job
Thanks!
Hi Kevin and Ray, The little cardi is adorable I’m sure your niece will look so cute in it Kevin .Ray your jumper is so lovely and the little hat and mittens so sweet. Kevin your jumper is going to be really cosy. Take care till next time enjoy the birthday party.🧶👍🏻💖🇬🇧
Thanks so much 🥰🥰🥰
The Budgie color way socks are fantastic! I was in NYC yesterday, but with the weather, I nixed the idea of heading to Brooklyn General. Glad you survived the Friday trek to Brooklyn. Great scarf for you niece. The House of Diamond Sweater is fantastic. Gorgeous yarn finds. Best wishes for Rhinebeck.
Thanks friend! It was quite the journey Friday lol 😂
I'm watching after the live and I haven't had one ad come up FYI. Love your episodes as always. I so look forward to them. Have a great 2 weeks.
Awesome! Thank you! 😊
OMG! Sleeves inside! Brilliant!
😊👍🏻🥰
I am watching Sunday evening and I have not had any advertising. Enjoy watching you fellows. Wish I still lived in CT so I could meet you.
Thanks so much! We think UA-cam just dances to the beat of its own drum 🥁 lol 😂
Ray, I think it's so awesome that your mom is a knitter and that you spend time together enjoying this craft. Of course, Kevin, too!
The vibe couldn’t have been JUST AS GOOD?!?!?! Sorry to have missed you guys! Next time.
Finally got to finish this podcast... now onto 97...!!!
I loved it when you said, “I thought I was going to be a sewist.” Same! I come from a long line of seamstresses and still want to carry on in my ancestor's tradition, but man do I love yarn. Lol
Everything you guys make is so beautiful! Happy knitting and crocheting 💚🧶💚
Totally! Love this ❤️❤️
If we ever get you guys down to do a longer DC-area visit, we can take you to one of our fave LYS that has the whole De Rerum Natura line. I used Ulysse before and really enjoyed it - next up I'm using Gilliatt (which is worsted weight).
Oh cool!! One day!! We would love that 🥰
Surprise live! You’ve been busy! Everything is so beautiful and lovely. I almost can’t handle the tiny flower buttons. 🥹😭❤️
Aren’t they just adorable 🥰
Love the colors to the hat and mittens the color of the yarn is a nice match to the bird
It really was! I just couldn’t say no lol 😂
Just started a granny square blanket for the crochet -a-long. So much fun and a great in between project. Will tag you in some photos of the shrug I just finished using your yarn. So soft and squishy! Thanks for doing this!
Please do! We would love to see your progress 🥰
I love your podcast I been watching for a few years. I don’t know anyone who knits or crochet . There’s a online group but it’s when I’m working. I looking for another one I New Jersey. I really enjoy watching keep it up. Thanks
Oh thank you! Keep looking, you’ll find something ❤️❤️
Omg! I would have had a panic attack with all those trip mishaps!
LOL our trips haven't been the easiest, but we still have had a ton of fun.
I'm so glad for the suoruse video. Couldn't get the live. We are camping and the internet is sketchy at best. Your family devotion is so heartwarming. You guys are so lucky to have that closeness . Blessings to yall.
Aww thank you. 😊 we hope you had a great time! Love camping 🥰
Love you guys! (from your favorite 🤣)😘 Kevin your seaming looks great. That curiosity cowl looks fun! Can't wait to see you. xo -Kate
Hi favorite! lol 😂
Congrats Wanda!
If Lives are easier for you, you should do Lives all the time. Lives are always much better IMHO! 😜😎🇨🇦
Thank you! We actually might, it was so much fun 🤩
Missed another live of yours!!! Glad you taped!
Next time! 🥰
Hi I enjoy your podcast, your projects and both of you!. I was just watching the Sonder podcast with Maggie and she recommended a couple books that she raved about: Him and Us by Sarina Brown and Elle Kennedy.
Hi Kim, I read Him, that was the book that really got me into the M/M genre, I would love to read that again, as I now know it is part of a series.
For the show notes problem, could you link to a google doc or a page on your website with all of your coupon codes? That could save you space in the show notes.
We decided to try the google doc. The link is in the description below 🥰
I did a granny square blanket during Covid using one color for each with a white outer round. It turned out great and I used up a ton of mini skeins and leftovers. I Think you made a great choice.
Yay thanks! I’m super excited about it ❤️
Fabulous guys. What a treat. I part watched live then had to come back on Later. Hope the party was great fun this afternoon. Love the baby cardigan., hat and mitts. Wow, laughed at the “ breaking the bank” stash 🤭. What fun that was and what fun you have coming up in the next few weeks with more “ breaking the bank” 🙈❤
Thanks so much for hanging out with us! The party was great and we are a little scared to see our future haul from the Rhinebeck weekend lol 😂
Ray, i have made several barley hats and love the pattern. I had never considered a self striping but the hat and mitts were so cute. Thanks fir the idea
Kevin, if you have too many mini for Ray to use i would like to suggest a giveaway. It doesn’t matter the colors are not perfect
Oh that’s a great idea! Thank you 😊
Kevin - I use those clips to keep my needle cords neat on fixed circular needles!
That's a great idea!
That hat and mittens is so so cute, Ray! The little sweater is so sweet, Kevin! - Kimberly
I decided to use German Twisted Cast On like Ray for my socks.
It is our favorite cast on for socks and for hats, if we don't use a tubular cast on.
Can't believe I made it to the live! No FOMO this time (I did think I missed it, thought it was the wrong day--haha). My first year for Rhinebeck (and festival ever)...can't wait. Now you have me rethinking my shopping bag....maybe I should just buy one there. Love the makes (ugh those little items are so adorable). Take care guys!
Yay!! Hopefully we’ll get a chance to meet!
The Milo is awfully cute for a baby too
I caught the live but wasn’t able to finish the whole thing. Enjoying the rest of the episode now! Hope you guys are having a good week!!
Thank you 😊
Ray! Your House of Diamonds is SPECTACULAR. Doubled ribbing always reads expensive to me 🥰
Thank you so much!! I’m super excited to finish it 🥰
Just sitting getting over jet lag - 3 weeks in Kenya and Cape Town. So perfect to find you doing your wonderful podcast. You’ll definitely keep me awake!
Wonderful! What an amazing trip ❤️❤️
Great catching up with you as usual! I started watching live, but then had to run and just finished up. The Rhinebeck FOMO is real! Haven't gotten tickets yet, but we are hoping to run into you there!
We’d love to say hi 👋
Sorry I missed the livestream you both are so down to earth
Love your kind friendly nature ❤
Projects are amazing
Thanks so much! We love doing these and getting to chat with you all ❤️❤️
Loved to wake up to your live today! Your podcast is so fun and I love seeing what you both are making!
Yay! Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it 🥰🥰
I’ve made several Barley hats. Great pattern!
It really is.
Charleston, SC - from Boston!! Enjoy you two so much
Aww thank you 😊
For your scarf. You could leave the ends and add more and make it fringe. Just a thought.
Oh that’s a fun idea!
Hello Kevin and Ray from Mounds, Illinois. I use the same clips to seam my sweaters together.
Beautiful I love the sweater! So cute
Thank you! 😊
Thank you for another great podcast ❤. I look forward to each new episode soooooo much. Definite FOMO for Wool and Folk and Rhinebeck. I’d need a place to stay on Friday though.
Anker sweater is an awesome pattern
Another great podcast. Sorry I missed the live. Beautiful break the bank. Love the baby/ child sweaters. ❤
Thanks so much! ❤️
I wonder if the choppy bits were ads playing and the video being delayed while live.
Kevin, I took bought a Magnet bag after watching Taylor. I also bought one for my granddaughter for a Christmas gift. She's 14 and has fallen in love with knitting.
Aww love that ❤️❤️
Feederbrook farm also has a spincycle like yarn
UA-cam Premium is the BEST money I've ever spent period!!!!
Glad to hear everything worked out ok on NYC! I love Twice Sheared Sheep...have to limit my ordering because of duty and shipping which is so sad, lol 😢
That’s ok. It just means that you’ll treasure the orders you can get 🥰
@@NeedlesattheReadyPodcast True! I ordered their advent for this year and am very excited!
HEY YOU GUYS!! This got lost in the live chat, so I'll ask here. Would you consider doing a kind of reverse sock blank? Instead of knitting a flat piece, dying it, and then using it to knit socks, reverse the process by knitting a tube of natural, dying it, then using it to knit something flat, like a shawl, or a bigger tube like a hat or cowl? I think you could get some really beautiful results. But, you can't call them "UnSock It To Me, Baby", cuz I'm laying claim to that one right now! I've got an old Singer 20 stich knitting machine, made for kids and heavier-than-sock yarn, but I still might give it a try myself.
Interesting 🤔 It could be a fun experiment 😊
Oh my gosh. Love you guys. I could hang out with you all day! So question about the CAL. Can it be any pattern and any yarn? Are the rules and stuff posted anywhere?
Yes and yes 👍🏻 Anything crochet goes 😊 The “rules” or on our Ravelry page 😊
I made two Kirby sweaters. One 9 months and one 12 months with the remix yarn. Her mother loved them.
Aww yay 😀
Love you guys! Enjoy your week! ❤❤❤
You too!!
Feederbrook Farms is a good, affordable substitute for Spincycle.
FOMO! Hope to see you at Rhinebeck! My current plan is to purchase nothing. PS I don't actually think I'm strong enough for no purchases!
lol 😂
Hiya!! We hope you see this!! You’ve won the tickets to Wool and Folk!! Please email us for the link to them!! we don’t want the bots to get involved so use the address either at our website or linked in the show notes to be sure it’s actually us 🥰🥰🥰🎊🎊🎊
@@NeedlesattheReadyPodcast Thank you so much, I'm so excited! Email with information is sent.💕
FOMO would love to go to wool and folk! Heading to Rhinebeck but haven’t bought tickets yet
If you go, say hi if you see us.
@@NeedlesattheReadyPodcast see you there!
Loved watching the full episode. Just FYI, the video got choppy in the middle and at the end. Still enjoyed every bit! ❤
Thank you for the feedback. Not sure if it was UA-cam or our internet but we’ll try something different next time 🥰
You could do the coupon codes as a power point screen shot and add it to the beginning or end of every video to save some room.
OMG Kevin, I literally LOL when I looked up from my knitting and saw you petting and cradling that skein if Fluff!!
I always have FOMO while watching your podcast.
lol 😂 it’s so soft!! Haha 😆
I was so happy to see you two. I’d thought you were passing on this episode due to your travels. I just signed onto Tin Can knits. Excited. Also, I’d been searching for a size 12-14 sock pattern for my Hubby and Son. So far, I’m only finding sizes 11.5 max. Do you have any suggestions? TIA. Wonderful show! ❤
Hiya 😊 I wear a 12 and find it isn’t the length that matters but the foot circumference. So just measure around the widest part of your husbands and sons foot and use that to gauge size 😊 Hope that helps
@@NeedlesattheReadyPodcast Yes, Thank you much. 💜
Ray, check out the join as you go method by Hooked by Robin for your granny squares. It is much better than sewing them together!
Thank you for the suggestion, will definitely check out that method.
It was pixilated for me too on a replay
Ray...according to Very Pink Knits the brochure that comes with Lykke needles say you pronouce the word like 'Luke-ah". I finally looked it up because I was getting so frustrated not knowing how to pronounce it myself😂
Thank you for the info Wendy.
Missed your live. 🇨🇦
Missed the LIVE but I NEVER miss you 2❤
FOMO! Thanks for another great podcast!
Any time! Thanks for joining us!
So much to love in this episode - the unexpected live (which I missed), the faces Kevin makes when reading comments!, the owl post gifts, the breaking the bank items - especially your Moondrake and Spuncycle colors, Ray!!😮
I didn’t get any ads but I wasn’t watching live. But I do have a question, are chat messages/comments no longer available to see unless catching it live? There used to be a little bubble titled Chat but I don’t see it anymore.
Have a great fortnight, friends!
Hiya! Thanks for hanging out! The chat should be available, but sometimes it takes a little time for UA-cam to make it available 😊
I have to rewatch.
Hi, guys! So happy to see you!🧶🧶🧶
Good morning!
I usually miss the live but watch later. I don't think I've ever had an ad come on.
Thank you! We wondered if it was just for some people. UA-cam does some weird things sometimes 🫣
I made the positivity beanie by Tori Yu and I absolutely love it and I'm obsessed with her Manhattan Hat (I've made a bunch of them).
The manhattan hat looks awesome! She was soo sweet and very down to earth 🥰
Elena from Pennsylvania good morning
I love your grey bag!!! where did you get it??
Show notes will be up soon 🤞 We got it at Brooklyn General Store
Could you put the coupon codes on your website?
Good idea, we will see if that is something that will work. We have created a Google Doc that is linked now.
Teddy missed you from🇬🇧
Wish I would have made the live! Alaska time lol ❤
Next time! That’s why we record them ❤️❤️
Take some pictures of the party!!
He'll Boyz from Canada
Hiya
What an adventure you guys had. Kevin, it would be awesome if you start dying nonsuperwash
It’s on the list 😊
Easy solution to commercials is to subscribe to UA-cam premium. No commercials then! With the amount of UA-cam I watch the 20$ a month is so worth saving time and grief from commercials. Come on folks isn’t quality knitting podcasts like Kevin and Ray worth 20$ a month!? I think so eh?
Aww thank you 😊
I didn’t see any adds.
Is it me? am I the favorite? lol
just an FYI i didn't get any ads
As always, another great episode! You two have such an amazing chemistry and are so much fun to watch! Love the livestreams and they are the best when you are “unprepared”. Thank you both!
Thanks so much! We really love doing these live 🥰
Moogy is what quark and rom call their mother in star trek deep space 9. If that was someone's real name, I'm sorry. Not picking. It is just what my brain went to bmt brain basically always goes to star trek lol
lol 😂 it’s actually our friends nickname but love the Star Trek reference ❤️
Hello
