In the late 1970’s my gardener had brain surgery at Mpilo hospital which cost about $6. Mpilo had world class facilities and totally affordable. Most treatments were free. Hopewell must keep up exposing the inequities.

Zims problems were caused by both Mugabe and Blair. Blair reneged out of terms of lancaster house agreement related to land reform. Then Europe punished Zim for taking back the farms to discourage other neighboring countries from doing the same. Thats why any talk of land reform in the world you Hear Zimbabwe. That was the intention.

During the Ceasefire of 1979 it was in the middle of the cold War and the liberation struggle was fought by Soviet trained officers, Cuba and China chipped in with training logistics and munitions. After the realization of the possibility of Soviet adding 1 more friend in Africa, England decided to court Robert Mugabe who they had initiated contact with years before as he was being groomed by the west bearing in mind that Rhodesia had declared itself independent in the 60s and had fallen out with the British, so Mugabe and 3 more liberation leaders were being courted by anti Soviet elements. 1979 Lancaster house negotiations were supposed to decide who the best candidate to stand for election as a unified African movement Tongogara made the mistake of showing his hand at that point it was already common knowledge that Joshua Nkomo was the ideal candidate for everyone since he had been the first one to bring about political resistance in Zimbabwe back when Bulawayo was the capital city, he gave them so much hell that they moved to Harare to establish a capital city in the more docile and submissive mashonaland. Now because Mugabe was the eloquent and younger secretary to Nkomo he was already the face of the new age because he was trying so hard to be white and yearned for acceptance so that was his character flaw of trying to impress the white man about being better than them at their own game, it would later come in handy for the ordinary Zimbabwean because it led to a very effective and efficient education system that produced industry leaders in all faculties, to this day Zimbabweans don't struggle to find space for their skills in the diaspora. Back to the Ceasefire, Tongogara raised the issue so that they leave Lancaster house with a unified understanding because leaving would mean that others go to Mozambique and others to Zambia and at the time they would be preoccupied with the logistics of bringing their guerrilla forces back home for election and they wouldn't get the time to iron out the issues. Britain hastily dismissed this with Mugabe and his crew also seconding the motion. That's how they then used Opah Muchinguri who was then Tongogara's Personal assistant she together with the driver shot him and burned the car. A few more assassinations were carried out with the help of the CIA and English Clandestine operatives. Mail bombs and such. After they eliminated the potential resistance Mugabe was given money + resources to ferry voters from the villages to the polling stations with 15 and 16 year olds voting as well. And Mugabe went on to do the West's bidding for 2 decades and he was rewarded with honorary doctorates, courtship he was basically the Queens little jester. The land grabs started after zanu lost in the referrundum . One of the clauses was that the white owned farms would be taken for free.
