My oldest four wheeler is a 1995 Honda 300 Four Trac which I still ride all the time and never had any trouble with it. The next one I got was the very first Rancher model they made which I had for 10 years with no trouble then 5 years later I bought 2 more Ranchers. I had them for 5 years with no trouble. I sold all 3 ranchers at the same time to get funds to start building a house. I bought my newest Rancher in 2017 with no troubles so now I own the first and last four wheeler and use them a lot. Now I am in the process of finding a dealer that has a 2023 Rancher 4X4 to add to my collection and looking at a used 2002 Rancher. That will give me a total of 4 of them so my family can all ride together. As long as Honda keeps making them to last like all of them I have had I will always be loyal to them. Love the looks of the 2023 Rancher and that size 4 wheeler seems to work perfect for me.

It's hard for Honda to invent something new when what they produce is basically bullet proof. Now I am no Honda fan boy, I promise, but I started on an 04 Honda Rubicon in 04 for $6599.00 and could not have asked for a better ATV. I moved to Alaska and hunting out in the back country, I needed something that was better suited for permafrost, muskeg, and pulling meat wagons with 1600 lbs. of gear and meat 20 plus miles into some rough country. So, I bought a 2014 Can Am XMR 1000 in 2014 for $17,000, great machine, can't complain at all except no pull start in case your starter or battery take a shit. Moved back to the lower 48 and sold the XMR as it wasn't getting rode much. Decided to get back into hunting deer again, decided to find me a great shape Honda Rubicon with low hours and miles. Went right back and found me a 2003 Honda Rubicon for $3600. Reason? You cannot beat these machines for their bullet proof internals and ease of repair. Now if your into the latest gadgets and options, then these aren't for you and to each his own.

BTW, personnel comments aside, Honda's legendary quality and dependability should not be confused with speed and or HP, as either typically rewards early failure. De-tuning does the opposite. You have 2 sides to this, better performance/options or legendary quality. Honda stays away from top dog performance in most all products in favor of upholding undeniably the best record for bringing you home. Just my .02 with 14 Honda products in my decades. 4 years is not really time to expect a lot of significant changes though. I had a Polaris Scrambler and HATED the CVT and the Polaris "On-Demand" AWD system, and in 2007 bought a new 2006 Foreman ES. The thing has been a tank. Recently I bought a used 2020 Rubicon foot shift, with a ton of miles, snorkeled, 19.5s, sketchy past, and the think has also been a tank. If you go to another manufacturer, you are going to get a CVT. In 2019 I went in search of a side by side, and ended up with a Polaris General, and remembered how much I hate CVT's and Polaris AWD until I got it. If Honda would make a "crossover" class side by side, I'd be the first one in line to get one. I also appreciate your reviews of the DCT, as I wasn't sure how it would stand up to heavy trail riding and/or mud, so good to see your videos on it. I might get one of those one of these days!

If you treat your Polaris like a Queen and keep it in a heated garage and only do light riding no mudding or anything like that your Polaris might last you half as long as a Yamaha if your lucky. My dad and my brother both ride Polaris. My brother bought his 570 new and in the 3-4 years he’s owned it he’s replaced a solonoid. But he only uses it on flat dry ground mostly and occasionally pushes snow out of his driveway. My dads 06 700 sportsman is absolute trash and has spent more time broken than it has riding. He likes to rip on my Hondas while he rides my spare Honda everywhere lol.

@@JacobOvermanold video old comment i know, but if you're looking for any insight, i think you'd have similar complaints about the brute 750 after a while. fantastic machine, the v twin is not a slouch by any means, but they're pretty much nearly exactly same machines they were 15 years ago they went from carb'd to EFI and gave it a facelift in 08 they did a refresh in 2012 gave it power steering, changed up the plastics and some of the electronics, and unless i've missed something under the hood they've been building them the exact same sense. Great machine, love my 08, but kawi isn't doing anything to rock the boat and get existing owners in for an 'upgrade' park a 08 next to a 2023 and only difference you'd notice at a glance is the headlights are different. if stale cosmetics Arn't as big a concern as you made them out to be, highly recommend looking into one.

Like you I got tired of Honda not keeping up with the Jones, but it's hard to find something with the reliability, after doing my research I went with the Suzuki, and never went back. I made the switch about 20 years ago, I'm in my 60's now and I own a 2000 Vinson 500, a 2007 King quad 700, 2016 King quad 750, and a 2022 king quad 750. I use the 700, my wife the 2022 750, and my daughter rides the 2016 750. My oldest bike the Vinson has been through hell and back and performs like the day I bought in, it's my work horse, the day I purchased it I had the dealer install Mudbugs on it and it stays in the mud pulling trees, my tailor filled with bags of corn, if it would have broken down 10 years ago, I'd say it I got my money's worth out of it. That 2022 Suzuki King Quad 750 has the 27" Kenda Executioners, and an incredible ride. Just my opinion

I've primarily run Honda wheelers since 1990 and I don't have any complaints from Honda. My 1992 Yamaha big bear has been decent other than busting the main drive gear and replacing the engine/Trans unit with a worn out salvage yard unit. My experiences with Polaris have been all bad! The belt drives get wet and slip causing them to get stuck. The cvt is unsafe for younger riders and beginners. And they just aren't reliable in my experience.

If you're still looking at atvs I can maybe help here. Work in a garage that sees a lot of 4 wheelers come and go, most of them are straight off of the farms and race tracks and are pretty damn beat up... seriously abused some of them
There's three 4 wheelers that really stand out, KTM 525, Arctic Cat 500efi and Polaris outlaw 525.
All three seem to be tough as hell and just tank on.
Also these three seem to be very good at withstanding rust, the Arctic Cats have very thick round metal chassis so mud and water don't build up and the paint seems to be very high quality too because they're never peeling off like Can ams ans Polaris sportsmans do.

Polaris has great features and design but oh man, they just don’t last. I had one Polaris quad and noticed so many parts stamped, :Made in China. Great machines for light use and 3 good years. Can-Am is cutting edge technology and build but have to be brought to dealer only for any repairs and check engine light is frequently on because of all the sensors. Yamaha’s are well made also. You clearly don't do much water riding then buddy lol. I've had 4 Polaris Sportsman ATV's. Most recently a 2018 Sportsman 850 SP. And you can barely go above the floorboards without them fk'ing up and stalling. Of the 4 I've had, 2 were absolute lemons. Sure the power/acceleration is exhilarating but it spent more time in the shop eating up more of my money than just being able to ride it. I sold that POS and now have a 2020 Rubicon DCT EPS Deluxe. And yeah, the power ain't what I'm used to, but I'm happy that whenever I want to ride it, it works with no issues. And I can take that thing as deep as I want so far with NO ISSUES. Not snorkeled one bit. I've had Yamaha Grizzly EPS as well and I'm eventually going to buy a 700 EPS again to go a long with my Rubicon. I wish Yamaha would make a bigger Grizz.

Well I haven’t made any firm decision yet, also no clue when it’ll be. A lot could change between then and now. Currently. The looks solely have me sold on the Polaris. I guess I’ll find out if they are junk. Around here where I live now. I no longer ride in any mud. It would probably do fine as long as is saved the Honda for all the hard work. Also, thanks for being a long time subscriber. I see you comment on a lot of videos.

Ive been riding the exact same 1985 Honda four wheeler for the last 17 years and its perfect and i have no intention of getting rid of it. This dude rode his 2020 four wheeler for a year and a half and he is already complaining that he is tired of it and wants something new. Sounds like the issue is this dude and not the four wheeler.

Is there a fourwheeler brand that has the coolant temp screen you can set it too(cause it’s so hard to tell(especially for a carbureted atv)if your quad is warmed up to proper temp(and also the only brand out of all the most known ones that have that option is…HONDA I can’t decide I need help)

low on inovation? This could be the worst reason what so ever to change in a workhorse. i know 4 people that had honda ATV since the 90s and all works like a charm. and i know 2 with polaris that is pure trash.

Have you contacted Honda and suggested changes to the design? Not just this spoiled "I'm bored!" crap, but changes that make sense, improve the ride, performance, or reliability? You clearly don't take care of the one you have, yet it still works. That's extraordinary value, and it's hard to come by. Maybe you should add a huge plywood wing to the back & purple ditch lights. No ATV comes with that.

Just by doing what you were doing early in the video you would of possibly fucked a new grizzly up .there is zero supports underneath there footwells .We have 4 in are group lots of pissed off guys .they just randomly shut off when mudding .If you ain’t gonna go Honda go with Suzuki there tough well built machines.Go with the rugged with the bumpers looks like ya need them .Only two mods the Suzuki’s need is a uni air filter there stock one is crap .And to raise there belt exhaust in the rear up to the front handle bars .After that you got a rock soild machine comparable to a Honda with a lot more power .Save yourself some money on the Polaris quad lmao
