It can be easier than this. I do agree with you that if someone cannot do this they should not be messing up with this kind of stuff. Making it easier would be using less double sided tape and instead of using the same pull tabs they can implement a none stretchable pull Tab similar to this one but with a much more bigger portion exposed on the other side you. Undo it and pull to remove the battery since there is less double sided tape à strong pull should remove the battery. This sounds like what Samsung has started doing with there again they are using way too much double sided tape making it difficult to remove the battery. For repair folks and people like me the new implementation is a time saver and somewhat minimize risks depending on what you were doing in the past.
Luv the new process!!
🙃it's brilliant to say the least
Thank you.. that means a lot I could inject voltage from my bench power supply placing red prob on battery Andy black on screw driver hole?
Yes. As of now only works for the regular iPhone 16. 9v should be fine to help remove the battery 👍🏽
Beautiful video!
Its strange that method with 9v battery works only with 16 base model
😂 it's the test subject...most likely will roll over to the PROs next year.
Nice!
Thank you 🙌🏽
you got the polarity wrong. the glue is supposed to stick to the battery at the end but it was stuck to the housing
Generally per electrical engineering principle chassis is always ground (-). Why do you say am wrong in the polarity?
@@ersbit sorry i done read the manual wrong
I think it can’t get easier than this to replace the battery. If somebody can’t follow these steps then it’s just their skill issue

I've been looking for ways to destroy $1500 phones. Thanks!
You don't feel comfortable don't do it! Go to Apple or find a repair shop. Some people will try other will not.
