it's like a very homey deconstruction of a living room ... quaint and familiar ... he certainly flowed in the most avant of circles for his day. symbolism similar to the beliefs of tarkovsky, that certain items evoked universal responses, and this work potent with water as well. probably the greatest problem for modernity, despite all its insights, as that we haven't reconstructed our consciousness to know 'we' are most essential part of a human continuum, any individual part of a larger chain and purpose. we are still severing our humanity with confusion of fragmentation and allegiance to differences. ,,, fantastic, i love the emblematic and cohesively welcoming nature of this work, ty

Anyway, I decided to pause this one and have some fun making observations / conjectures about it. I had a whole narrative going about a mariner's ocean-based vs domestic lifestyle.
I appreciate the imperfect, rough-textured look of this and how prolific Torres' career was.
Love the note the video ended on too. I now know that name, just a little. 🙂
