  • Finally had the opportunity to try it and print a 2 Color Halftone Print. This was a first and was more challenging than expected. Hopefully this can give some of you Amigos some idea of how to work with halftones as well hopefully the ones that have more experience to please give me some advice.

    Great tutorial!!! Out of all the half tone videos I've watched I've never seen anyone use the inverse tool ! That is awesome! So you taught me a lot.... thank you ! I'm going to try your design....can't wait ! God bless AMIGO....

      Thank you. And the inverse is only done when you're going to be printing the design on a dark garment. If it's going to go on a white shirt, the inverse is not necessary. Glad you enjoyed the video. I will keep making more videos like this in the future Amigo.

    I watch a lot of screen printing tutorials and you show people you can get into screen printing and learn a lot of the techniques without having to spend big money. You also keep things real and show that the whole process is trial and error and to work through the issues you get until you get the results you want. I don't think cockroaches in my printer will be an issue for me though. Keep making the videos Bro.

    Hey men nice video dude love it....i just started screen printing let me tell you that Magenta color kick my ass one day I went to the printing supply house 2 times because it was not coming out right with the under base , they say oh your using too high mesh count I was using I think 230 they say no use 110 , ok try 110 same thing but yes it gave me more ink on the shirt but not good just not good, to me that ink is for white or light color shirts NO UNDERBASE .what I had to do was to get another color CMYK that was very very close to it and I use it and it works no underbase print flash print like 2 - 3 times on a black shirt and it came out perfect....so I think that Magenta is for mainly white.....i can provide that color if you needs it am just not where it is at the moment , kool men keep printing.

    • @TheInkBuildUp
      @TheInkBuildUp  4 роки тому

      Thanks, and the color I was using is not really magenta for doing cmyk prints. It was a color that I prepared using a patone mixing system. I was aiming for a type of red but I got this color. Lol. But I will revisit this print in the future.

    Hi fella love your vids . Can I offer a small piece of advise .I saw esp at the end print you pull on the white and push on the pink . I do believe this may have affected your registration. , you need to do the same stroke on each colour as you may put things out of line .

    I mean.. every time there is a flaw.. I would have to start over again.. and we're talking a lot of time to re-do the process. I admire your patience and dedication performing those prints. Oh... and your photoshop skills are awesome! thanks again .. by they way... do you still use the UV lights for exposing? I find them much easier and they save me so much time.

    Yo Brother, for the off contact try using US Quarters. One on each corner of the screen. Not sure what coins you have there that would be the same width as a US Quarter. Good luck.

      It was a paper towel, normally I used newspaper but I ran out. I do it to make sure no emulsion drips down to the stencil part and blocks my screen. Others use air to blow out all the excessive water.
