I love songs that do this or things similar, I discovered math rock and Midwest emo like 2 years ago and there's a bit of overlap between those two and pop punk and post-hardcore but the thing about them is people usually use odd time signatures in math rock and such and that really got my attention cause it sounded so neat, and since then I've been writing using these time signatures but I just recently did what you did here changing them within the same song and man it's so cool, it seriously helps give the song a different feel. Also Winter Air is AMAZING so well written it's such a jam I love it, though I'm not surprised lol great video too btw so neat getting to see the song broken down
Douhg sir, i am from phil, i was a vocalist before, i do song with my false chord scream that was 15 years ago and stop now i cant do it anymore i am now 38 i wish i could shift in fry scream but when i do it doesnt sound right, it has no power, like im outof air, thanks
can you make a video about intentional voice cracks or whatever actual singers call that? it's really common to hear that stuff especially with vic fuentes yet hard to find an explanation. thanks in advance
Hey Doug, that song you made was sick! How do you get a distorted tone in general? I've seen you distortion video but I'm looking for something really raspy. Something like Matt Shadows from Avenged Sevenfold. He does really raspy distortion, how would I get this sound? A song example is the chorus in 'Dear God' by Avenged Sevenfold. I am a student of the vocal teacher, Phil btw
How do you get that double voice effect in your vocals ? It almost sounds like different singer singing along with you in the harmonies. Really cool! I’m a beginner music producer.
big fan, i have a question, i’ve developed my chest voice quite a bit but how do i know when to start moving on to using head voice? they say that if you start using head voice too early you could potentially lose notes on your chest. so how do i know when i’m ready ? i’ve expanded my chest far enough to where i’m almost in a mix voice at high notes.
If you want to use head voice you can use it. You only lose chest voice notes if you stop training the chest voice. If you stop using the strong chest voice completely for a months and months at a time, that's when you're gonna lose notes. So just make sure you don't stop practicing the high chest voice notes.
Yo bro what happened to u? U stopped posting on youtube and ig…
