You and the Yeti make a great couple :)
Really, this is beyond spectacular. Beautiful snow angel..and this video (not to mention the others) have an angelic quality to them :) So glad you're still vlogging Mari!
Haha I feel kind of bad for the yeti thing 🙈 glad you're liking the vlogs!
Working overseas I do miss the NZ wilderness, thanks for making awesome vids!
No prob David!
It's been a long time since I've been home and I forget how beautiful NZ is!
Happy at least I can show you!
Amazing place. You guys are adventurous 👍💕
Great video Mari! Love Aoraki/Mt Cook Village 🙌🏽
Oh, those salmon pies are to die for! I want one! Breathtaking scenery that brings back great memories.
Yes they're the best!! It's nice knowing you've been there too!
Definitely one of my favorite spots in the country!
Same!
Epic views again Mari. Thanks for sharing this. Nick is a brave man I don't think I have ever worn shorts in the snow.
Haha yeah I haven't been brave enough yet for it either!
Did you hear the one about the snow angel and the yeti? 😂 Thanks for sharing your first snow angel with us and gotta love a Yeti in shorts in the snow. That'd be our 16 year old, shorts all year long. New Zealand is stunning as always! Thanks for sharing. We will definitely look at those hostels when we make it there one day, those lake views will be awesome!
Looks like such a gorgeous area! Can't wait until my travels take me there.
So much good exploring to do!
If you ever drive through Sheffield, they have a good pie shop there too
I've heard that! I'll have to try them sometime
I knew it! still no icebergs in the tasman glacier lake! even in winter! good thing you didn't take the boat ride
I’m at Mt Cook right now (July 11), however no snow other than above the mountain snow line. Shame as it would be gorgeous with snow in the village as you saw it in this video.
Ah sorry to hear that! I think it's pretty rare to have the whole village covered in snow. Hope you enjoyed it otherwise though!
I love how you refer to the pie as 'savoury pie' when ever here (Australia.. and maybe NZ) a pie is generally a meat pie and you'd differentiate a fruit pie
Ah 😍 just beautiful in the South Island, stunning
It seriously is!
Wow🤣
So beautiful views at Mount Cook during Winter.
I went to Kea Point also on Dec 2016 during Summer. Love it and miss it 😘🤣
Yeah such a nice part of the world! I'll have to go back in summer sometime 😊
Great video, Mari. Although you could have divided them by each area as a separate videos... anyways great seeing you vlogging again. We missed that smile. Best regards.
Thanks, I needed to see snow on your video, for it is 100 degrees right now in Casper Wyoming.
Glad to bring you some cold vibes! Hope you're staying cool!
Wonderful video! Thank you so much for sharing the spectacular views! :-)
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful video, i cant believe Nick is wearing shorts, he really is a Yeti! Oh and when i come to New Zealand i'm getting that pie!
Epic luv the south so glad your in New Zealand please stay ( just saying )
Thanks Ric! I'll do my best 😜
🏔🌿🐾 👍🏼
Epic video love your vibe :)
Nice video mari👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks!! 🙌
Hi Mari even though it's winter didn't look too cold there is it ever so cold you need big coats and scarfs
Yep! I was freezing at the start of this video! But by the end of the day and walking up hills, I was warmer. I've definitely been wearing big coats and scarfs, but Christchurch isn't too cold.
What sunglasses do you use?
Please can anyone tell me if I need 4x4 in the south island winter time?
You don't need one, but some mountain passes may require chains.
Hi I love your video very much... may I know what apps u are using to edit your video?
Thanks! I use Final Cut Pro
How did you get to working with YHA? I love there hostels, I’ve stayed in many around the Uk!
I've always loved YHA hostels too! I just saw the ad and I applied! 🤗
Trust me the red tarns is even worse in summer !
At least the stairs wouldn't be slippery! 😆
What was the elevation? Was it harder to breathe?
The elevation of Mt Cook Village is 2,460 ft (750 m). Breathing was pretty normal I'd say
Hey Mari could you do a video of something else than walks
Notification Squad
First? Lol
Whats da name of da pie shop?
Fairlie Bakehouse - seriously so good!
Dear Mari Because you love sailing a lot, and love boats. And of course you are a very good captain.😜 it seems to me very nice, If you go sailing with Elayna & Riley on the La Vagabonde.( I'm sure you know them ) for a week or so. They are coming to Australia because Elayna is pregnant. so maybe a nice challenge for you! and a nice UA-cam collaboration ? you will certainly not regret it. And everyone will love to see you on the La Vagabonde ! and certainly as a captain. 😇let us know please.
Yes I know them! I'd love to visit their boat!
is nick wearing fucking shorts!?!?!?!
haha yes. Always on hikes. I think it's a New Zealand thing 😆
