    Epic views again Mari. Thanks for sharing this. Nick is a brave man I don't think I have ever worn shorts in the snow.

    Did you hear the one about the snow angel and the yeti? 😂 Thanks for sharing your first snow angel with us and gotta love a Yeti in shorts in the snow. That'd be our 16 year old, shorts all year long. New Zealand is stunning as always! Thanks for sharing. We will definitely look at those hostels when we make it there one day, those lake views will be awesome!

    I’m at Mt Cook right now (July 11), however no snow other than above the mountain snow line. Shame as it would be gorgeous with snow in the village as you saw it in this video.

    • @mari.johnson
      @mari.johnson  6 років тому

      Ah sorry to hear that! I think it's pretty rare to have the whole village covered in snow. Hope you enjoyed it otherwise though!

    I love how you refer to the pie as 'savoury pie' when ever here (Australia.. and maybe NZ) a pie is generally a meat pie and you'd differentiate a fruit pie

    Hi Mari even though it's winter didn't look too cold there is it ever so cold you need big coats and scarfs

    • @mari.johnson
      @mari.johnson  6 років тому

      Yep! I was freezing at the start of this video! But by the end of the day and walking up hills, I was warmer. I've definitely been wearing big coats and scarfs, but Christchurch isn't too cold.

      The elevation of Mt Cook Village is ‎2,460 ft (750 m). Breathing was pretty normal I'd say

    Dear Mari Because you love sailing a lot, and love boats. And of course you are a very good captain.😜 it seems to me very nice, If you go sailing with Elayna & Riley on the La Vagabonde.( I'm sure you know them ) for a week or so. They are coming to Australia because Elayna is pregnant. so maybe a nice challenge for you! and a nice UA-cam collaboration ? you will certainly not regret it. And everyone will love to see you on the La Vagabonde ! and certainly as a captain. 😇let us know please.

    • @mari.johnson

      Yes I know them! I'd love to visit their boat!
