- The patriotic WW2 song "The helmsman from the "Marat" (ship)" performed in the style of "A cappella" by the choir of the Twice Red Banner Song and Dance Ensemble of the Soviet Army under A.V. Alexandrov (or the Alexandrov Red Army Choir). The song was written in 1944.
Music by Matvey Blanter, lyrics by Alexey Surkov.
The conductor is Boris Alexandrov.
This is a clip from the musical film "I glorify the Fatherland" produced in 1975.
This video was restored, digitally remastered and upscaled by our channel.

Mikhail, I must protest this AI enhancement technique you have been using. It destorts the faces of the singers and can sometimes distract greatly from such incredible performances. I urge you to consider this, I would much rather have a lower resolution but undistorted picture and focus on the sound. My pleasure! Well, I understand what you mean, but I think that the picture is much better with AI anyway... I hate lower resolutions. And I agree that this video didn't come out well. Well, sometimes it works not so good but in most cases it works quite well. It's all depends on the source video.

Just one piece of feedback, whatever filter you're using during the remastering and upscaling process is doing horrible things to the singer's faces in the wide shots. Just take a look at 1:28 for an example. Might want to re-tune that a bit for those wider shots.

I'm using AI for remastering and upscaling. I see what you mean. Unfortunately AI creates such artifacts when there's no face at all in the original footage.
