Maddie has taken all of us on an incredible journey. We literally watched a star being born, one week at a time. Her dance routines made me cry - she was that amazing!

Maddie is honestly so mature and so well spoken and she always has been. She was above and beyond her years since she was 8/9 years old on Dance Moms. Sia is the best thing that ever happened to her. She’s such a star. Love her. And of course Drew. She’s always been a favorite.
I was incredibly impressed by her in The Fallout! I went from not really caring about her to being a big fan. She's so well-spoken and has such a mature presence. I think she and Jenna did an absolutely phenomenal job portraying such real, honest, and genuine emotions of love, fear, loneliness, grief, and connection. It seems to come very naturally to her and their chemistry was spot on. She's really come a long way and I can't wait to see where her acting career takes her!
She is absolutely amazing. Can't wait to see her future projects. Such a talent ❤

I liked it when she said winning isn't everything. Yes Hollywood's been used for so many things, good and bad, but we should note that it's surviving because at its very roots it has acquired so much conscience without which it knows there would be no real survival instinct. I still have good confidence on Hollywood for it will go on giving us good art without dirtying itself in muck much.

Sia is just who she needed to conintue growing. Abby wasn't going to make her the star she is today and its clear like others Abby will just run you into the ground. Luckily Maddie had Sia to learn the opposite of what Abby was doing

I challenge you to find a more likable celebrity than Maddie Ziegler. Like, put aside the fact that she’s unreasonably beautiful and insanely talented for a second. She seems like an absolute sweetheart and she clearly has a head on her shoulders. Not only that but, given her reality tv career and the fame she got from the music videos, she had every opportunity to be a typical child star nightmare. Clearly that didn’t happen.

I’m glad she realizes that stabbing all her friends in the back on Dance Moms really wasn’t worth it in the end. I mean she was just a kid and doing what she was told. I’m happy that she can see what the adults in her life made her do was wrong.

She literally never stabbed her friends in the back?? 😭 She was also an actual child on (sometimes staged) reality television where *producers* and Abby made everything happen the way it did… Not once did she take an opportunity from another girl willingly or gladly, or lie, but of course grown men wanted to vilify the child who happened to be the favorite.
Loved this interview but I think the misconception is that all high schoolers face this… it’s only America

i love drew barrymore but i feel like when she interviews people it feels like she’s interviewing herself… like she draw attention away from the guests
Drew is so bad at interviewing and it’s okay to include personal experiences but she overdoes it. She’s just so unaware and clueless
I gisagree. She is far more sensitive than many interviewers. And she's kind and wants to relate.
