    Topic: Evolution of U.S. Government Efforts to Counter Corruption through Strengthened Coordination
    As part of the Anti-Corruption Policy and Research Outreach and Engagement Program, the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative (ABA ROLI) hosted a its second roundtable discussion event on June 22, 2023 focusing on the topic of, ‘Evolution of U.S. Government Efforts to Counter Corruption through Strengthened Coordination.’’
    The panel of high-level U.S. Government officials discussed developments in the Department of State and the Department of Justice to pursue concrete lines of effort that advance the objectives outlined in the United States Strategy on Countering Corruption. The event was attended by anti-corruption stakeholders in the U.S. Government, academia, the private sector, and civil society. The moderator and speakers included:

    • Richard Nephew, Coordinator on Global Anti-Corruption, U.S. Department of State
