For those of you who want to see more Marble Blast/PlatinumQuest videos, please bare with me since I haven't had motivation to upload recently. I only uploaded this video because multiple people have requested it. There should be a new MB/PQ video within the next two weeks!

Q. Is a score of ??? a good score?
A. Honestly, this is a very hard question to answer because this version of Tetris has a high skill ceiling. You can be amazing at the game and still not be close at all to tetris.com's world record, which currently sits around 1.6M points. If I were you, I would ask myself if I think my score is good for me and then try to improve my personal best.
Q. What are your delays/speed timings? Which timings should I use?
A. I use 180ms DAS and 20ms ARR, although I can go as low as 150ms DAS without much trouble. You should simply use what you find comfortable, but if you want to go for faster piece movement, go for it. I don't have much of a reason to use slower ARR, however.
Q. Why start at level 1?
A. tetris.com handles level starts very badly. For example, in Tetris Effect, if you start Marathon mode at level 11, you will clear 110 lines until level 11 ends, and then you will clear 10 lines per level until a grand total of 150 lines, clearing level 15. Unfortunately, tetris.com handles it differently: By starting at a later level, you skip the previous levels entirely. If you start at level 15, you will move on to level 16 after clearing 10 lines, and the game still ends after clearing level 30: you end up completely missing out on the lines from levels 1-14, resulting in a game that removes 140 out of the 300 lines.

@@jeeyongg6401 True, but this requires a completely different skill of not being able to use das at the end lol. the other higher level tetris players can probably also do this, and better, but this is pretty insane in terms of mashing accurately.

This is slowly becoming one of my favorite versions of Tetris lol.
When I first saw this video, I had just gotten 1,000,000 and wanted to see if I was any close to the record.

This was incredible. I've gotten 1.1 mil by level 25, but its incredible you can get 5 levels past what i've always considered a killscreen. amazing work.

This is really awesome. There should be a world championship competition for this version of tetris. My current personal best for this version of tetris is 840,000. Haven't been playing for a while as I am focusing more on classic tetris.
Just got my new pr 839,550 a minute ago haha. I don't really know how the competition would work since you can play with mouse or keyboard. Playing with the mouse like this guy is doing is way easier and not very "tetrisy" but yields way higher scores.

Watching this I realise how much planning people do, my pb is 900k and I got that simply from just post level 25 gameplay, I never even look at the next pieces I just place and hope the right pieces come.

Level 29 is usually the killscreen, but you even made it to Level 30, close to Level 31 actually. Huge play! 1.212 million is also almost a world record. Used to be a world record some years ago. :)

Ha, wow. I SUCK. At work when it's slow I play tetris. Me and a guy on a different shift was beating each other scores. I felt so amazing beating 64,000. I came in this weekend and he had like 160,000 and I was like buuuuulllshiiiiiiiit. Idk how but he cheated there's no possible way to get a score that high. Then I watched this and I was like well, I just suck lol
I am doing the same with a close friend.
Last week my record was 112k and he suddently did 201k. I was like "wtf bro" and, only five days later, I did 230k

Pretty insane! It's beyond me how you manage to keep it going past level 25. Level 24/25 is usually where I lose. I've been playing Tetris for a few years now on and off and consider myself pretty good at it. I can usually get over 500K without much issue, and my best score to date is 658K.

I've just started playing this version of Tetris yesterday. How can I use the other block things in the next place? He's somehow switching blocks mid placing them. Here's and example 4:03 to 4:04 he turned a purple block into a red one how can I do that?

I top out around 500k usually but for me it plays much faster much earlier in terms of score. Is that due to the computer being used? Or is there a strategy that delays the speed increases?

I replicated the exact same setup in 1:21, yet i couldn't get my t shape to rotate past the hole, can some1 explain how u do that one?
the up arrow key rotates the piece right in the default mode and the z key rotates it left

how come you get in level 21, lines 202 and got the score about 730k up. while I got level 21 and lines 203, the score only about 323k?
It's all about performing powerful line clears (Tetrises and T-Spins). When you get a T-Spin of any kind or a Tetris, you enable a back-to-back bonus of 50% extra score. This bonus will stay alive until you do a line clear that isn't a Tetris or T-Spin. Clearing too many regular singles/doubles/triples will hurt your score.
TETRIS combos give more points

Do you have everything set on the default settings?, and if you don’t could you make a video on the settings that you play at
I use my own settings. Z for counterclockwise, X for clockwise, space for hold, up for hard drop, 20ms auto-repeat, and either 150ms or 180ms for the delay auto-shift.
Cylinder Knot I use the exact same settings, lol. My pb is only 973k though. Huge congrats on getting to level 30 (27 is my best but my pb died on 26), and getting a sick score!

As a person who hasn't played Tetris much how the heck did you keep up when the pieces just look like they appear out of nowhere

Do you know you can use the mouse to move the pieces as well, and it makes later levels much easier
The mouse is very awkward for me, and it feels like cheating because of how easily you can skip pieces across (and in some cases, through) the stack in higher gravity levels. However, someone told me a very strange strategy that works quite well for levels 25+: set the DAS to 60ms and ARR to 80ms or so, and then surviving to 300 lines (which is where the game ends) is easier.
