Are you also in favor of doing away with all the massive government subsidies and help the Oil industry gets? Those Oil company CEOs sure love all these subsidies that allows them to stuff their pockets and bank accounts with US taxpayer help. Direct subsidies, huge special tax breaks, and free US Military escorts are all provided to the oil industry. Is it fair that the US Government helps keep the price of gasoline artificially low and doesn’t;t help try to advance to the next more modern technology in EVs?
@@nerdbikes3841haha I bet you think it’s as easy as everyone buying an ev and just plugging it in right? How do you like rolling blackouts just so you can charge your car? Realize how much money it will take and how much time it will take to upgrade our electric grid to support EVs it’ll cost a lot more on tax payers and would take 10+ years because we haven’t even started yet. Hybrids are our future maybe hydrogen but EVs aren’t
There shouldn’t be tax incentives in a free market- really all that does is allow automakers to take half measures toward their production efficiency and overall product offerings. Tesla is the huge benefactor with tax incentives going away in the US as they can produce their vehicles at a profit without any incentives, AND Tesla has lots of flexibility to push MSRP’s significantly lower than where they currently sit in order to win the sales battles with their competition. There’s a reason the Tesla Model Y is the best selling vehicle in the world (even with the US now lagging so far behind in EV adoption, China easily makes up for that with the massive demand for EV’s in its much larger automotive market). Stellantis (and other legacy automakers) will have to make significant changes to their business culture if they ever hope to tap into the success that Tesla has managed. Tax credits are a crutch that truthfully just stifle development and significantly delay progress.
I feel the same way. Even if they bring back the 5.7 in the Charger, why would you even reward them with a sale? I'm currently in talks on a base Mustang. I'll get my V8 rumble elsewhere and reward a brand worth rewarding.
I would sooner find and buy a 1986 Dodge K car than anything Stellantis is pushing today and I grew up a massive Chryco fan. Owned numerous Chryco cars as well as my father owned many in the past as well. Chryco is just a step child to the farce that Frenchy Italian Stellantis has become. Sad days for us once solid Mopar fans.😢
I think they're only hope is to can Carlos. People are still pissed and it's going to take a lot to bring them back. His ego and arrogance has tanked this company. This dude has delusions of grandeur, he thinks he's a modern-day Henry Ford.
Carlos had some pie in the sky vision that he could cut cost and deliver vehicles to market in record time. The whole dare backwards 2030 plan is flawed.
If we're going to buy an EV at all, we don't want it for the same price as an ICE equivalent, we want it cheaper. And we don't want to pay the prices on current ICE equivalents. So where does that leave Stellantis? 😂
I bought 3 new dodge vehicles in 22-23 all of them had warranty issues. They lost me for good. Next time I look at cars they will not even be considered.
Stelantis wants to sell us EVs with older battery technology now and is forecasting better solid state batteries in 2 years. Doesn't make sense telling your customers this and expecting to have sales success now. Maybe these EVs are never going to be built at all.
they are going to need a lot of fools with more money than brains to be interested at this point maybe they will be cooler after 2 or 3 years I will keep my Hemi 1320 and my c7 m7 Vette
Who woulda thought 💭 10 years ago I don’t think ANYONE would guess that CDJR would be like this! 😂😅 This is still insane to me that they are even pushing these EV’s at all, while also failing so miserably 🤦♂️ GIVE US GAS POWER AND STUFF THOSE EV’s
Any CEO of almost average intelligence would have the replacement model ready before pulling the old one from the lineup. The Dodge Journey sold, but they still haven't introduced a replacement. The Charger/Challenger haven't been replaced. It's just what Tavares does.
Intentional destruction from within. Carlos got paid alot of dark $$$$ to ruin our beloved muscle cars. No way in hell hes that dumb and out of touch on everything. Sad.. RIP Dodge
There are people working on the assembly lines for these new 2025 Dodge Charger EV cars where there has , been reports showing , major quality issues with them !!! And that's electrical problems, and the batteries dying , so not good at all !! 🤢🤢👎👎
You said just what I was thinking. Tavares says he intends to get the quality right, but his timeline is so short, how the heck can he do it, after firing so many of the capable engineers and other employees. He sounds delusional to me, and Stellantis continues down the path to self destruction. Who's going to trust the company to put out a quality product anymore?
Just let this Company Stellantis keep down this disaster road with there horrible CEO Carlos Tavares !! Stellantis with Dodge, Jeep, Ram and Chrysler, will be out of business !! 🤦♂️🤦♂️👎👎👎
Much more fuel efficient gas engines will be here long before EVs are truly production ready with small lightweight batteries that are affordable to replace.
I just bought a 1993 plymouth duster with 41k miles on it that some old lady had until she died. Manual, 3 liter. Will probably run until I die, and gets really good mileage. That's the future of Dodge for me lol. That's MY dodge economy car that allows me to keep my old and nice cars in the garage. I'm done with the consumerism. I'm checking out.
I think people who want EV is 5% sales. Hybrid maybe 10 -20% sales. No worse than selling wagons & convertibles. What about standard cab long bed small pickups.
Stellantis should have built EVs with a wider appeal under the Chrysler brand instead of putting all their effort into building one for a niche market comprised almost entirely of people who hate EVs. Chrysler doesn't have the muscle car brand albatross around their neck. Just keep building hemi Chargers and Challengers until Dodge goes out of business.
Sup oc !! Off topic...i purchased a brand new RV ! i got suckered into getting the sealajet protection on it ! But get this ...its gonna get done at my house where i can supervise the work! I can also cancel the appointment as well!! Thoughts
Stellantis and actually all "USA" vehicle manufacturers now have a GOLDEN opportunity to become the #1 manufacturer IF they would concentrate on reliability. Toyota has recently joined the "unreliable." IMO, all the manufacturers seem to be buying inferior products. I'm guessing from China in order to save some cash up front. Nobody wants to spend in excess of $50K for an unreliable vehicle. This may be a "throw away" society, but the average worker can't afford to throw away $50K for an unreliable vehicle or to have to keep dumping cash into it to keep it on the road.
I'm on my second SRT product in 11 years. Both have been great vehicles with only minimal issues that required spending time in the service department. I have all the Mopar merch and swag because it's been cool to represent over the last 11 years. There is NOTHING that Stellantis currently offers, ICE or EV that I would spend my hard earned money on. Product selection is awful and faith in decent quality is now non-existent. Once the Trackhawk wears out, I guess it's back to GM. It's been a great ride, but it's done. Ralph Gilles is nowhere to be found or has sold out to go along with this crap. I hate to say that because Ralph has always been my guy. I applaud Tim K. for leaving this burning dumpster fire. Thanks for killing OUR brand Carlos.
Lets Just acknowledge the elephant in the room , Once an for All !!!! Most People who want Trucks ? Want a Truck . NOT a Trar !!!!! The LITTLE 3 auto makers completely Abandoned the We who want Trucks for Truck things !!!!! I have NOT for the Last 10 Years been able to find a Truck , You remember the Truck with just a Cab that we used for doing Truck things Like simply Hauler Misc stuff !!!!! They quit building Passenger cars and instead turned our work trucks into Passenger Trucks , NOT WORK Trucks ....... My 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 Lariat is Better and more useful than ANY , of these 79k - 108k Passenger Trucks they have on the their lots !!!!!! This is if we are Truly Honest with ourselves !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW , Mt 97 Ram 1500 318 is approaching 300k miles ..........
It takes more than a few weeks to validate a new car model. Honda and Toyota took years to test new technologies that they deployed in smaller markets first. And even doing that thru still have some flaws emerging. A few weeks for Chrysler is not going to make any difference.
Hey OC, I believe Stellantis needs to change their name to "Stillslamsus" When Stellantis goes away, I still won't buy new ever again. I will not have a TV set in my dashboard. How about designers that didn't graduate from Hot Wheels U! Many days I feel like I'm in Lost in Space. Looks like this all goes with, of course we know better than Americans! Take your crappy products and shove it! Thanks ANB
Let’s be honest how many dealers are going to sell these new cars at MSRP or less. Because the Charger , Wagoner 3 & Ram Rev are so new there are people who will pay more just to be the first ones to have one and dealers know this and will add ADM.
Underpromise, and overdeliver. That was our internal motto. We won’t know till new vehicles are on the lot and we can test drive them. 🤷🏻♂️ He can make EV’s for the percentage of the market there is, but he’s competing with Teslas which now are a lot cheaper. YUGO made a cheap car … not to many people wanted it.
Dodge and Ram are going away unless a Chinese company buys them. Stick a fork in Chrysler…it’s already near history. There is no way Dodge and Ram can survive with horrible quality and old outdated EV tech before it even hits the showroom floor. Have you seen what is coming out of China this past month ? They are cranking out new EVs every month that leap past the previous month in technology and range, and their quality is way up from where it used to be. Stellantis simply cannot keep up with Ford, GM and Tesla and the Chinese .. no way.
What was so bad about 2 mode hybrid? I sort of like the Hornet hybrid FWD gas & electric RWD. I always wondered why this wasn't offered during peak FWD years 1990's-2008.
I'm going to stop posting. Every time I make a correction, it looks to have posted, but isn't there, when I return. I can't tell if this is from UA-cam, or you. I'll try back in a month. If you don't want me to post, just say so here, and I'll stop bothering you.
There should be NO tax breaks for any EV, ever! Period.
Exactly, if Ev's are the automotive and global Savior people would be lining up to buy them, no need for tax breaks.

Most of America doesn't want EVs, we will actually buy ICE vehicles.
Most of America doesn’t know how awesome Teslas are. @ModelYManiac /X
My next car will NOT be a Dodge. They no longer pass the "smell test". I have zero faith in the Brand going forward.

Nope. They need to give us v8 options, or they’ll sink. Plain and simple.
They lose money on every ev! Tax credits were only hope!
No tax break on any EV. Ever!

We live in the BS era lol
It's goan be a nightmare when this JUNK does come out
EV tax credits don't mean shix if you can't get insurance on the vehicle.
It's a way to launder money from the government to the people who usually contribute to liberal campaigns.
Is it me? Or is your hair way up there in this video? I’m trying to watch the video but your hairdo is distracting me. Lol

Dodge...
Do you remember the "k" car ?
It was a simple and cheap car.
Do the same with the Charger and Challenger.
I work at the company and I can say the difficult building this thing are huge and most unforeseen….
"Master the technology with a high level of durability", was the funniest thing I've heard all week.

Cancel it and seal it yourself.
THEY are FORCING the field organization to ONLY drive either the Wagoneer S or Charger Daytona.... dealers don't want them...
That’s crazy! 🤦♂️
Stellantis made a stupid move by hoping the niche car guys, who love Hemis, would just jump on the EV train. 🤣
Yeah a EV with a soundtrack of a Hemi LOL
Or just go away and buy Mustangs.
@@Jelsick Yep I dont even like the Challengers anymore. Challengers are everywhere. I would rather have a Charger with a 6 speed.

Stellantis and Carlos Tavares is to Blame for the technical issues with the dodge charger Ev and Jeep EV
I really like the looks of the new charger throw a 392 in that and I will buy it next week
This is what happens when you take top talent & replace they with inexperienced employees that haven’t launched a vehicle. It’s a shit show.
So, be careful what you wish for. Because some people don't want what you wish for them to buy. Pretty much. Right, Brad?
