Love those frozen slabs of black sand !! Easy pickens and got some nice shiny out of it too ! I know the gold comes from low-grade deposits of glacial till from the hill side. Makes me wonder how many layers of black sand have accumulated over thousands of years. Has to be the same process as Nome, AK ? Thanks for another great video Bro !! 🤠⚒️⛏️👍👍👍

WOW! Thank you, I always wondered what it was like up there in November. You took the time to set the camera up and then go back up the hill, that is impressive. Looks like some easy mining, just grab the frozen black dirt and throw it on the highbanker. I think that plate creating the plunge pool is a great idea. That is some great looking gold. Keep on testing, it paid for you again. 7, seven is the amount of times you said "cobbles". Great video Jason, luved the comedy and the scenery. Keep'em coming my friend.

We get used to the cold quickly around here…. Ice out in may !!!!🥶🥶✅
I believe the reason that there is no gold further down is because the wave action picks up the gold and floats it away maybe even pushing or floating it up higher on the beach where it gets stranded among the cobbles. I came up with a really good process of collecting that "floatie" gold years ago and shared it with Jeff Williams, he's going to do a demonstration on it. He even told me, "I never thought of that." In his interest i can't share it with you at this time. I will tell you that the most money i ever made was from making a couple of these. You can make the most beautiful specimens out of floatie gold. I was selling 1/4 ounce specimens for $1200.00 at the Las Vegas gold show in 1978. Absolutely beAutiful stuff.
I’ve been racking my brain for just such an idea !!!!!
I came up with it on the south fork of the North Platte river in Colorado. An old timer said; "if you could figure out a way to catch that "floatie" gold, you'd get rich". Well i did, and i didn't. But it was fun proving that it could be done.
That is a huge "tune in next week" treat for Ask Jeff Williams. I hope he does a video on it. Cheers!
You can run everything on that beach and get some gold. I've dug the first sand above the waterline. There's a bunch of overburden, but then cobbles and coarse black sand. Some good chunky stuff can be found there. Hard to dig though, as the cobbles are locked up like concrete.

Those frozen lollypops were on the trees in the water when me and my buddy were canoeing and he fell in up to his neck. But he had a dry suit on and we got to the truck in about 1 1/2 hours. When got home his wife had bought him a new kayak for christmas. So we went again the next day.Which was Christmas.
Good thing he was insulated!!

Good thing you guys didn,t get that storm they got in Buffalo, you,ll be walking thru 6 feet of snow Jason, and you would have to carry Rigby🙂 Been off of your channel site for 3-4 months, me and my brother Fred were working on our 1967 Plymouth Fury that got damage by the flood we had here in Detroit last year and at auctions and train and toy shows in Ohio. Me and my brother are planning to buy a vintage Motorhome after we move from Mich and thinking of driving up to where you are to those beaches off Lake Superior one summer and be there for 2-3 weeks , my brother Fred has been Retired and I,m close to Retirement so we will have the """TIME"" working the sand Mon-Sat Sun Up until Sun Down, figure with my work ethic me and my brother Fred should take out 2-3 ounces of gold, in that one episode you pulled out more than half a gram """"0.68"""" I think it was, in just 3 hours and 5 bucket full . All of your best Gold,Quality and """QUANTITY""" have come from the Beach. Plus digging Beach Sand is alot easier and funner than doing the Creeks🙂 Metal Detecting is one of my Hobbies but I don,t pull out much Gold, most is JUNK,KIDS and COSTUME JEWELRY, than what your doing in the beach up there near Lake Superior by Panning, Yeah its real real real powder fine gold but puts a smile on anybodies face when you see a smile of gold in the prospecting pan smiling back at ya🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

Congrats on finding a better spot good thing your spot was taken or you may not have checked over there… when you put us underwater and I saw the line of big cobbles there all I could think was bigger gold hiding in those rocks you’ll have to check some summer when it’s warmer and it may be 6 inches underneath them but that’s gotta be where the big gold flakes are hiding great adventure (although a bit cold) thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼
