    Hello i love your videos very much! Great work. Are the stock rates good of the kiss setup? In the moment i fly an alien with kiss v1 setup but i build a reverb with kiss v2 in the future. Have you changed much the rates? Or are the stock rates good enough?? Thanks for answering and sorry for my bad english! Keep up the good work!

    I'm getting some bounce back on roll axis. Running betaflight 3.5.5. 1100 degree a second rate. Stock PID on 6s. Running powerful rooster, t motor f80 pro 1900kv, t motor f55 4-1 ESC. Have any tips running 6s on stock PID? It almost seems there's too much power on the axis. Many would say to increase P to solve bounce back. Just confused on how to solve. I've watched many videos on PID tuning and they all say something different? Take care

    I’ve been flying for 4 months. What I’m challenged with is how to start a move quick, but to end slow. I’ll flick a roll, and just try to stop the roll back at level. You flick a roll, then slow the roll part way, creating a smooth stopping point. I’d love to see you try and instruct a noob pilot, as opposed to you flying.

      I see what you're taking about, and remember it being a challenge for me at some time. I think practicing the finger mouvement on the stick (just the stick, not only while flying) helped me, but id say the best way to achieve it is practicing rolls until they become a really natural thing to do for you so you can take your time doikg it and modify it like any other normal mouvement. it's hard doing that trick at the beginning because you're not fully confident when doing flips and you're more like thinking of the trick as one step : full stick left or right. once you're confident with it, it's a natural thing to do like turning left or right and so you can cut it in parts easily. good luck, I hope my comment will help you get better and better :)

    Maybe a vid on your tuning process? Or have you done that already? I feel like my quad is close to where I want it, but it still doesn't have that "locked in" feeling like your quad looks like it has. I know you are running Kiss, but I think the process would help for all firmware. Thanks for the tips and content!

    yes... 3:11 "Apply gently throttle"... just sounded funny to me, anyway yeah also of note is not so much on pitch but on the other axis' is it can just be out of habit, I have a tendency to do deliberate "bounce back" and though I like it at time, somethings it can be too much and I have to tell myself to keep an eye on it.

    I’m 2 years in and fly as the weather permits (Newberg Oregon) and throttle control as well as just smooth stick input is the key! I just recently started to fly thru tighter areas, under low hanging trees that are in a tight grouping, around our shop between it and the fence, thru small opening between structures and when i first started I was too erratic with the stick Inputs, and was having a hard time just flying slowly and controlled now I find it amusing to see where I can fly in areas that used to be complete quad damaging lines:)

    What do you mean by tuning your breaks out? Is that over tuning until you surpass your esc breaking? This video is perfect timing for me Vic. Thanks. Since I last dropped comment. I’ve really begun to cross the threshold of cautious slow attempts on tricks to just all out Dropping it in snow! Man you have become my favorite fpv tuber. Your vids are so helpful on progression. Specially if we slow down your stick cam vids. 🙇🏼‍♂️

    • @VIKFPV
      @VIKFPV  5 років тому

      Basically you can always spend a lot of time tuning but at some point you are gonna have to fly and counter the limitations of your quad by stick control. And that was the main point of this video. Tune your quad but don’t spend everyday tuning - spend it flying and getting the stick smoothing down. Thanks man 👊🏽👊🏽

    • @ivoryviking
      @ivoryviking 5 років тому

      VIK FPV indeed. Only “tuning” I’ve done is is increase my I”s by 5-7 points. On all three birds. (I was hunting down eBay deals. And got a vendetta 2, vortex 275 for under 250 a piece) and for first kwad I scooped a wizard X220. Only thing wizard on it now is the frame. It’s a bardwell FC, tbs bullet esc”s with Emax 2400kv’s, unify, and crossfire. With a falkor. I leave the tuning stock with latest Betaflight accept the wizard. I did flashed butterflight on it. 👍🏻. I fly them equally and like I said only messsed with the integral by 5-7 points. I just want to mast er the sticks before tuning. And your right it is mostly pilot over correction. I realize I’m aggressive in sticks. Specially throttle. Please keep these walk threw, with stick cams vids coming. Much appreciated VIC. Thanks a milli

    what you show/do is no pitch bounce back to me, you just overshoot AKA should stop your roll a bit earlier. pitch bounce back usually refers to timing/synch-problems, smooth motors, i-term windup, aso.
    probably i'm missing something but to me "pitch bounce back" is "pitch bounce back" and "bad stick input" is "bad stick input".

    • @VIKFPV
      @VIKFPV  5 років тому +1

      As my note said at the beginning of the video pitch bounce back could be related to tune, rates or even CG on the pitch axis. So I agree but you can correct it without having to address that to an extent. I guess the point I am making is you don’t have to have a perfect tune to address some of the tuning challenging you can compensate by learning to manually smooth out stick movements as you fly.
