    Hi Matty, may I ask You for a hint?
    I have problems with my wipers (S211 2007 170ps). They are living their own life.
    Position I - no interdependence between the severity of the rain and the movement (I do think the rain sensors might be faulty or what I learned the sensor panel has to be removed, reglued to avoid the air bubbles between the sensor and the windshield).
    Position II - the wipers are usually working, after few kilometers they stops. When I switch to position III, they start working as in position II (slow mode). When I switch back to II, they are OK, continues slow, switching to III they are in quick mode. Pushing the spray button always works.
    Twice I had a situation, where turning the wheel to left they went from slow (II) to quick (III) mode.
    Rear wiper on - in most cases nothing happens, until the wiper suddenly turns on (normal function) but - simultaneously - the system sprays the fluid.
    The half circle tempomat indicator is either off or blinking.
    Is it possible that the spring is faulty?
    Thank You, HNY

      @@peterviola9008 hi there! Sure happy to try help - I haven’t done tonnes of diagnosis in this area but from what you are saying I agree it sounds like both your rain sensor AND the clock spring are likely faulty. The intermittent power issues with the wiper sensitivity / speed make me think it’ll be definitely the clock spring. As if it was the motor itself I don’t think it’d work at all if it was truely faulty. I’d start with replacing that… otherwise it could be the actual control stalk itself but it’s very rare I believe to have that play up (haven’t seen anyone report it before). I’d personally just do the clock spring first then re-evaluate… I think the rain sensor will throw a code possibly so if no codes then it may all relate to the clock spring. Happy new year.

      @@thatmatty231guy Hi! Here is my update after the spring replacement:
      1) The front and rear wiper functions seems to be normal (the problem with the intermittent front wiping persists - I think the problem is the sensor, there are visible air bubbles between the windshield and the diodes).
      2) The cruise control indicator ring on the multi-function display was fully visible (the last time I experienced this was maybe 5 years ago!) but after x minutes (randomly) it goes flashing or simply disappears like before the replacement. I've learned it might flashing because of asymmetrical wheels (not my case), and turning out the cruise control too (in my case the cruise control left turned on and works flawlessly). What do I noticed, sometimes the rear wiper indicator on the multi-function display disappears and reappears randomly too.
      3) I'm pretty sure the ring was faulty - thank You for Your help. The system is much stable, then before the replacement. I think - obviously - I have to deal with the rain sensor and most likely some faulty connection of the instrument cluster, SAM, relay... I don't know
      Thank You

      Thats weird is it like a rubbing noise or scraping noise? The clockspring could be defective - but if everything works normally, it should be fine... Check the screws are torqued properly too.

      @@thatmatty231guy it’s more like a scrubbing noise. The mechanic can’t tell me why. I thought about to do it my self but i am not a mechanic.
      But the scrubbing noise is super annoying.
      Why is it scrubbing ?
      Maybe you have a answer.

    Hi Matty, that code for SPS valve, is it the reason why the steering wheel is so hard to turn?

    • @thatmatty231guy
      @thatmatty231guy  Рік тому +1

      Hi I don’t think it was a pressure valve code on mine BUT a faulty valve that controls the pressure will make the steering hard to turn yes,, my old ML350 had this issue - BUT it ended up being the actual pump too.

    Hello Matty
    thank you very much for this video
    very helpful, and i already subscribed :D
    can you please tell me what foxwell model do you have for diagnosis?
    does this foxwell model allows us to bleed the SBC ? or it is just for desactivation ?
    i am looking forward for your answer
    thank you very much, John

      Hi John - I’m sorry for replying late!
      The model I use is the NT530 :)
      and yes it does allow for SBC bleed, however mine stoped half way through because a battery voltage issue so just make sure you have it hooked up on a supply power pack (which i did too but still had an issue). You need a good 2L of brake fluid on hand, the bleed process drinks a lot of it haha.
      Thank you!

      @@thatmatty231guy Thank you very much for the answer. no problem. i am glad you found some time. 🤗🤗
      yeah, mean while i had another problem ( mine is a 2.2, 122 hp , 646.951 diesel), on full gas was going in limp mode with no error on dashboard. and if i kept going with it like that finally i had an error, on turbo (i cannot remember the code right now) and i did not had a specific tool for a diagnose. Finally after some tries (sensors and turbo replace) i found out that the second catalytic converter was stuffed with something blown from the first catalytic converter. I canceled both just for test and the car runs very good right now.
      hope this info will help you and other guys
      thank you again😇😇

    You said the ABS light obviously came on because it was in test mode. Are you just supposed to drive it and it will clear or what?

    • @thatmatty231guy
      @thatmatty231guy  7 місяців тому

      Before you drive it you can exit out of the ESP module --- but it will naturally go out when closing the diagnostic / restarting the car, unless there is a fault somewhere. If it doesn't go out - the steeringg wheel from far left to far right can work to.

    i have a similar issue but when I use the turn signal stock the whole thing is loose and also when I do a full right turn with turn signal on, it doesnt automatically turn off or go back to its original spot, can anyone help me

    • @thatmatty231guy
      @thatmatty231guy  Рік тому

      I know there is a screw that holds the steering column steady in alignment with the dash - if you remove the plastic steering column covers you should be able to tighten this screw again.
      I assume that may be causing the turn signal issue too.
