My dad passed three years ago…For me grieving has become a process, that changed from grieving to remembering and cherishing the memories.

Grief is hard but those memories & precious moments live on forever. Lost my mom after she turned 100rd 2yrs. ago, but the joy of her living with me the last year of her life was soo the greatest gift of all. Remember the laughter & the smiles, because they are your forever Sunshine. 1LOVE. Your biggest fan

Kelsey, I literally just watched this and had no clue as to the content until you said grandpa and there was a photo of my father. It's just like a wall of a huge wave just crashed down on me and and as the video went on and you talked about it and then I could see the video in the background, the content of that video, that we watched at his service. Hearing his voice that we really hadnt been able to hear for so long. Seeing him so young and his face with joy and mischief filling it. And then more pics and I just lost it. I am trying a new mascara and it stings. This was beautiful and your grandpa is beaming with love and pride from wherever he is feeling your love and the ache, but more so from all you have done and have been doing. Don't tell anyone but out of the grandkids you were his fav. My son came in second 😄. I miss him so much it hurts. I've been stuffing it down and it just came out in big sobs watching this just like it did when the video you made of him played at the service. I love you my niece. Thank you for all that you do ❤️

I completely understand you for each Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday I live with the memory of loosing my only Brother and Sister. The pain is overwhelming at times but we live on and cherish the memory love we had. Stay strong and yes every moment is so valuable

My heart goes out to you two. It is so very hard to lose a loved one. No words seem sufficient, but eventually the pain lessens and the fond memories become the focus. Best to you two.
Sorry to hear of both of your losses. My mom passed last year and not a day goes by that it ever get easier.

This was beautiful Kels thanks for sharing. I hate that you two had to go through this. I can remember when my brother passed, life just did not feel the same for a long long time. While i was more grateful for everyone in my life that was still there, an anxiety in losing them too grew without me recognizing it. It caused me to distance myself from everyone, diving into activities that numbed my mind and hid my emotions. Grief in itself is an individual process, different for everyone it comes to but as much as I hate to say it, time truly does heal. My greatest suggestion is to allow that grief to fuel a drive to connect with those around you differently. Plan activities even virtual if you can, ask questions about their past and things you wouldn't have otherwise known. Good luck you wonderful humans!!! thanks again
grief is a terrible teacher - we ugly cry - we howl - we get so angry - and we ugly cry again - sobs pulled from our deepest places... Grief teaches us in the most rending way how much we loved.. and how much we were loved... With time the tears still come (mine sure do) but they are now more about sweet and blessed memory than anything..
Be good to yourselves.. schedule time to do nothing at all you'll need it.. and of course be as gentle as you can with others..
As this season of celebration unfolds be care full to allow yourselves time to feel whatever you feel.. including the hard emotions that inevitable come..
May your journey be blessed.. may you find peace.. and may time and reflection bring sweet remembrances that are comforts...

I'm coming up on the 7th Christmas since my Dad passed. I don't enjoy Christmas anymore because he passed on Dec. 19th, 2016. I know how you feel.
