I think you could say this about every housekept animal, I know chameleons require a lot of care, and just one single little thing off and they'll die, how do such fragile creatures survive in the wild? Idk man, plot armor or something...
pretty sure is the abundance like when they pair up they have like 50 kids and in two years they can pair up again... imagine if the normative is they are super resilient i think them being so fragile is what keeps them controlled in wild environment
@@bola5671 yeah often in nature cases of the eating offspring is a sign of either stress through rival aggression/regular disturbances or resource stress, not enough food -so the mother eats the kids to regain nutrients bc if shes starving theres indication the kids wouldnt make it either so back in they go
On about 7:55 you can see ants or some bugs in your room. I hope that they don´t pose a threat to your T`s, making them stress eating their offsprings to avoid being raided by ants?
Man i feel your frustrated pain. I finally was able to save some african dwarf frog eggs before they were eaten by the adults. I got one to go into metamorphasis and become a tiny little frog. And i came home to it passed away today😢
When was this recorded? If she laid the sac in April, that seems really long time since it’s now November. If that’s true the sac is probably a dud right?
I'm of the mind that one of two things happened. 1) it was a bad sac and she knew it, so she ate it to recoup the nutrients or 2) The more likely situation, she was hungry AF and ate the only thing she had. The few successes he did have when not feeding them I believe were the exception, not the rule. Very well could be why he has had so few in 9 years.
He knows what he’s doing. Also they are all naturalistic enclosures with plants in all of them, which also makes a huge difference. It really isn’t that bad. If you think this is a lot of enclosures, you should see many other spider rooms!
I'm so sorry this happened to you ): also can you help i have important question. im working on a exotic pet room. What level do you AC your pet room and is it mandatory?? Cuz my house has no general AC only individual room AC. so I'm deciding if I should install one or not in the pet room. here in canada it can get pretty hot and humid in july-august (average highs of 29° to 33°C. On humid days as high as 35° to 40°C) so your advice would be greatly appreciated! (Oh and to be specific the only pets i have in mind of keeping in there is centipedes and desert scorpions) that's probably important for you to know lol
I’m sorry that your tarantula ate her egg sac man. Hopefully you will have better luck next time I understand that you are frustrated but don’t beat yourself. I hope you have a great day each and every day. 😁
I’m sorry man, but take comfort in the fact the sac was very old, so it probably wasn’t a good sac. Did you ever see any babies developing/moving? Wishing you luck for next time!
a fair while ago my hamster was fine the next night when I looked in on her she was gone, its still a mystery what happened to her there was no surface blood or swelling. though her age was a mystery as she was a rescue.
Hamsters can have strokes, can get tumours and can pass suddenly. A lot of smaller animals are more susceptible to illness, Mainly rats but I guess hamsters can also get issues similar to rats. She could have had a stroke or had something internal, Animals are good at hiding illness.
if she didn't eat for 7 months is normal that she ate the sack ... not feeding her goes for the first month or so after she layed not 7 months tarantula can fast for a long time but not that much
I know that its frustrating, but she is an animal and thats how it can be, they dont understand the concept of your work. Dont be mad at her, better luck next time!
Wait a second to didn’t feed her a little later after she layed the egg sack / no wonder she ate the babies / she got hungry / it makes me wonder 🤔 how much does he know about tarantulas / not that much i guess because look what happened / if i would rate in how he takes care of he’s tarantulas i would give him a 4 / not very good / i mean just look on how he contains most of them / lol 😆
How do you know she doesn’t have something behind that corner she’s in? It’s webbed up pretty tight and thick. Are you really guaranteed she has eaten everything?
Is there a reason why you repeat everything you say like 2/3 times? Say it once. Not everyone whos watching your videos is mentally disabled. We can follow along if you say something once 3:47.. Example that I'm at. Not even 4 minutes in and there's been like 4 times you've repeated yourself for absolutely no reason.
Bro are you serious when you pair you are all giddy and screaming and jumping and shit there's nothing professional about it no wonder they get stressed out and eat them and stuff the trauma you cause them when they calm down they eat the eggs for protection research it your self you know the names don't mean you know anything about these at all I e watched a fair few of your videos and you scream and get giddy like a teen girl sort your self out
It's crazy tarantulas manage to survive in the wild when they do these type of things

Luck can be awful sometimes. Lets hope it gets better soon.
If she has been caring for months probably would have been infertile egg sac
Man thats tragic dude... sorry to hear what happed...😢
7:55 there's a lot of ants!!
love the videos man! keep up the good work. sorry bout the egg sack tho :(
Damn mommy spiders don't even care about their babies sometimes. She ate her whole generation.
Right, she could've eaten half but she went for it all
that's a sign of malnutrition possibly
@@a_lethe_ion Interesting. I was thinking similarly, she got hungry since EL said he was avoiding disturbing her so she probably got hungry

@@SavannahMalpas It’s not funny. Ants can pose a threat to tarantulas and that may be why this female feather leg baboon ate her egg sac

Dad decides to commit Seppuku after mom eats her egg sack 😢

Sheesh, I know what it's like being that type of person with bad luck. Sorry this happened to you man.
I lost 4 tarantulas within the last few weeks. Most recent was yesterday my P Metallica died in a molt. Feel your pain 😢
As man, that sucks! I’m sorry!

Ngl the tarantula right next to the feather legged bamboo was the size of of a dinner plate
Do you have ventilation setup in these enclosures? They seem to be suffocating in there
