@@Biochemistrybasics - cTnT also elevated in other non-cardiac diseases such as of regeneration of skeletal muscle and chronic renal disease. But, cTn I is more cardiac-specific than cTnT. I hope it helps.

Because any degree of haemolysis will affect the value of CKMB so better to avoid hemolyzed sample for its estimation

We say more specific biomarker is troponin because it's duration of peak level is prolonged .Am I right sir??
Plus it's level don't get elevated in other non Cardiac conditions unlike other Cardiac markers like CKMB LDH SGOT etc
