  • Do you have problem with how & where to use Should have, Would have & Could have in a sentence? After watching this video you will know the correct usage of all these modal auxiliary verbs.
    The simple past just tells what happened. Past modals tell what could have, would have, and should have happened. To form these past modals, use could, would, or should followed by have, followed by a past participle verb. Use have for all pronouns

    Sub+ should have/ could have/ would have + v3 verb
    Should - advice
    Could - possibilities
    Sub + would have + v3 verb+ if + had v3
    Have and Has does not change with subject

    Malar Madam, your grammar class is excellent. If you taken these kind of class to Govt School teachers/ Matric school teachers it will be more useful for delivering the grammar subjects to students. Most of the these kind of subjects were essential for teachers. If they know very familiar it will useful to teach to students. This is my observations only.
    You're very strong & very clear in your subject.

    In first sentence, as per grammar, we can as well say, the first past action should be in past perfect tense(v3) n the second action (resultant action) is to be written in simple past tense (v2). Ex: Had I reached Madras Central station in time, I could have met my friend(here the sentence need not be started with “if” since it is implied). Sorry, if I am wrong. However, please clarify.
