- Each year, the open enrollment period for acquiring healthcare coverage through the Affordable Care Act marketplace generally begins Nov. 1 and ends Jan. 15 of the following year. The Biden-Harris administration announced that Healthcare.gov consumers can begin previewing potential plans in detail Oct. 25
Ads for healthcare plans that sound too good to be true hit the web and the airwaves before and during every open enrollment period. VERIFY reader Ruth asked if a website claiming people could get “$0 free health insurance” with a $6,400 subsidy or allowance to pay for everyday expenses was a scam. Social media posts have also asked if these same ads are real.
VERIFY looked through Facebook’s Ad Library for examples of the ad Ruth saw or similar ads. Several ads VERIFY found promoted a “$0 health plan” with a “$6,400 allowance benefit.” These ads and others included links to websites urging people to find out if they qualify for “$6,400 premium health credits” or a “flex card at absolutely no cost.” One website even asked people to share their Social Security number and other personal information to get help enrolling in a free healthcare plan.

That's what I'm saying and why does Medicare allow these scams to exist? That Medicare spending flex card is nothing offered by Medicare itself but by private insurance companies that offer way less than what is advertised unless you are totally dependent for government aid (Medicaid) and then you might be eligible for about 3,000 a year on a Medicare Advantage Health Plan .....the key words are "Health Plans". The Government itself is not sending you out paper checks to help you pay for groceries utilities and rent as the ads mislead one into believing ..it's very misleading and I'm shocked as to how far this has gone.

It's ignorant, if is scam! many are legit struggling etc. and also elderly, learning disabled or certain others may think it is real/true when it's not, which makes it even more Ignorant because it's not their fault they may fall for scam.

Scamming in open plain sight. They should be prosecuted. UA-cam censors content creators but not fraudulent and scamming advertisers that funds them.
I tell people this all the time.
That’s because UA-cam makes a lot of money from ads as opposed to content creators who they have to pay. They have more of an incentive to allow all ads no matter if they’re scams or not.

I’d never support going after people online, but these random people promoting this scam ad (like the people in the ad saying “you’re DUMB if you don’t take advantage of this”) should be held legally accountable. It’s disgusting that they’re doing it LET ALONE UA-cam allowing the ads to go through. I report every single one of them I see and it’s been going on for months. Ridiculous.

I was getting mexico adds in Spanish, also Ukrainian adds in their language...no biggie, but it's a bit annoying when I am U.S and only know English. Adds never use to be foreign at times until recently. Not the adds that come during videos/channels but the adds in MY feed are foreign ones at times. The other device, no longer use it was china and Japan adds in their language popping up 🙄 How are those personalized? or even in what little bit of algorithm that is left that actually is based off of me. I checked with the others here and their UA-cam doesn't have foreign adds/videos not like mine do. Don't care for adds, and do respect other cultures etc. but it's gets annoying at times, thought this was my UA-cam.

I signed up because I thought I would get some money. What happened is as the end of the year I had to pay for the "coverage" that I never used or knew I had. My tax refund got destroyed which really hurt me and my wife. I don't know what to do. Don't fall for it
