Hands down one of the best fights in the whole series!
I love that the games mixed some final fantasy esque magic for the Disney fights sprinkled in there too. Adds to the whole “crossover” feel.

fun fact it is called Lernaean Hydra because it was located in lerna, and hydra because it was said to be a water serpent based on the myth... Hydra comes from the word ύδωρ which is the ancient greek word for water.

They censored the blood in the English version when the original movie had it?! WTF?!
To make matters worse, Hercules was shown on Disney Junior! With the blood!
And in his game
whats even worse is that in the same game (KH2), they show blood in a cutscene in Pirates of the Caribbean world. So, to Disney and Square, fictional green blood of a mythological creature is a no-no, but showing human blood is perfectly kid friendly. makes no sense at all
I could never figure out how to beat the hydra. I wish the game would've told me, but nope, no advice whatsoever.

Aside from the "Get up on the hydras back", I loved this boss fight as a kid. That part where Sora rides Pegasus to fight off all the heads was so cool to me as a kid. I even had a separate save just so I could fight this boss again anytime I wanted.

Heroes Crest Keyblade is the best for the majority of the game. Magic I pretty much save for my limits or "cure".
@@BossFightDatabase i agree. In the first game (Final Mix) i used Spellbinder until I unlocked the Lady Luck. Now im not sure between that, Lionheart, or Divine Rose. +3 Strength, -1 MP
