Keeping this review alive - 2022 I have the titanium M360 version and appreciate the simplicity in design, still a decent buy if you find the right offer 👍
Thanks LTK, for the show! : - ) I'm sure liking this one. Simple and clean. You're right of course though. Making another one like this, in say a bolster lock. With G-10, CF, or a Micarta overlay. Sure would give it some better traction and looks, in my eye. They sure should be able to do that, and raise the price only about $30, and have another model number. One thing that many buyers forget. Is when simple D2/steel frame knives get to be in the $60 range. And some start to grumble at the price. They have forgotten, that the knife maker sent it to the Dealer, for around $30-$40.
Very interesting knives. The Phasma free seems to be a modern traditional almost. The fuller should be bigger to accommodate the design. The Phasma with the thunder studs is ok .Neither seemed to open well even when no pressure was on the frame lock. I agree go to a Micarta 14C28N flipper liner lock. At least micarta 14C28N liner lock with more prominent studs. As is I like the take down not overly impressed by the rest even at 60 bucks. Enjoyed the review. Thanks for sharing them both.
The hex key must be 4 mm, but 5/32" is close enough to fit okay. I assume the white washer on the outside is supposed to be an anti-rotation washer, but I have no idea if it's actually effective. The Sanrenmu 1161 has very similar construction for about $30, but with 14C28N.
If I am a newcomer into the knife community, and the 4 knives I have bought are the QSP Parrot, Ganzo FH41, Rat 2(d2), and a $5 ozark trail knife, what should be the next knife I get? I want it to be a budget knife as well, but I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on a knife in the same price range that is substantially different than what I have up to this point. I love variety :)
Check out the Steel Will Cutjack or Cutjack Mini, the Ruike P801, the Kershaw Cryo II, the Opinel #8, the Douk-Douk, or the Daggerr Pelican. Also I believe the BladeHQ channel has an episode about $20 knives.
You pretty much have to be there when he restocks. Which means signing up for alerts. Even then you've got to be fast. Stuff is gone in a few minutes generally.
Ty Tell me about it. I got the notification for the ts129, clicked on it, it was gone. But can’t complain, Justin’s customer service, shipping is top notch, and the homie gives discount codes (the only one that does this). I wish I could give him more of my money. 😂
Can’t deal with D2 anymore. Lots of great designs but D2 is a deal breaker now. Could be me and my lacking skills but I have the hardest time with getting a great edge on D2. Granted I don’t have a high end sharpening system but haven’t had any issues with any other of my knives.
These honestly look like the perfect budget CRK Sebenza alternative, for people that love the clean aesthetic, but can't drop $400 for a folding knife. Unfortunately for myself (a broke a*s Sebenza fanboy), they're just as left hand unfriendly as the standard Sebenza, and I highly doubt they'll ever bother making an LH version.
a custom crooked river is such a waste of money lol. Bladeplay unless you tighten the pivot all the way where deployment isn't smooth at all. BM's trademark shitty coarse grind and off-centered blade. Thick behind-the-edge and low saber grind doesn't win any cutting competitions let alone being a pocket knife. Also it doesn't use all of the handle for the blade. Them 33$ crooked river clones are even higher quality than the real one (I had 2 of each in hand and compared, and no, the clone doesn't have bm logo)

I love the minimalist classy design. Other versions with micarta or g10 are fine, but I would still go for this full metal version.
Slim & light seems to be the current trend in knives. I like it.
I'd like to see this model in a framelock flipper too!
I'm troubled by the name "Phasma". It made me wheeze. ;D
Love the design and looks, BUT I’m developing a D2 allergy! I mean for $68, I’d rather have 14C28N or N690!
is that a real thing? never heard of it
Style point : clean design
Very cool. I think I'd get the free and add my own thumb stud

Big fan of the Phasma Free! 🤘🏻

WMK is great on shipping, but man, they’re out of stock on so much stuff.

Yeah I need to do the alerts. I love that they carry Twosun, and I have managed to get a few I wanted. But he does have excellent service!
Thx for this in depth review
They got pretty far in this design
Thanks for the warning LTK. Going Ganzo.
What's the price difference between the benchmade and the $60 Reel steel since their is some comparison going on here?
i have the same trouble on my twosun ts190 if u touch the lock bar anywhere you cant open it
Love my ts190..hey Big Sean 247
what was that micarta knife?
No, @@Phil-S8. It does look a lot like it though. The one in the video, was the Real Steel Luna, in Micarta. > bit.ly/2BAZlBv
@@Phil-S8 I think it's actually the Luna, not a G-slip.
08:15 in the video, is the Luna.
It's attractive, but not at 68.
Go with Ruike instead.
Wish the handles were ti.

It looks like a front-flippable knife

Chinese clones with garbage blade steel still are not worth 33 bucks.
My Benchmades are very nice.
Nope, sorry. It needs a flippertab.
china 😝
