I’ll go first:
I’m Christina. I’m married to my best friend, Seth, we have 5 kids (ages 2, 3, 6, 10, & 14), and love our family, Jesus, and adventuring together.
We are passionate about being counter culture, including alternatives to traditional schooling. I have experience as a public school teacher, private school teacher, and homeschool mom!
I love the Charlotte Mason education approach, and many others, but I’d say I’m more of an eclectic teacher-mixing the different aspects of homeschool styles that I love-living books, literature-based learning, Montessori, and so much more!
Whether you are considering homeschooling, new to homeschooling, considering alternative ways to educate your child, or just looking for some encouragement and inspiration for your motherhood journey, I hope you feel welcome and encouraged here 🤍

“They can definitely still see you” 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
The little birds that makes sounds sound so sweet!
They are for sure a favorite around here!
Good information to keep the little ones busy
Great advice and I love the part where your son was scooting on the floor. I loled 🤣
Hahaha he’s such a goof!
Your kid trying to sneak by unseen in the background--that cracked me up. Great ideas! My little guy is 2 and definitely tends to cause plenty of chaos throughout our days.
My kids are 3, 9, 11 and the youngest does not like to cooperate at all during lessons. Even when we give her attention and her own time, she still demands all the attention when we do try to move onto lessons. It’s hard and even following so many wonderful tips, I find myself struggling every single day.
Yes, including my littles has always been a huge advantage! They love being part of what the “big kids” are doing.
It’s so sweet!
Mine are 9, 7, 4, and 2. We definitely use naptime to get school done, but I also switch off with my older 2 when I teach individual subjects so there is always someone to play with. But I do like that you give them attention in the morning and bake with them. I would like to be more intentional with my littles as well 🥰
I will be there in a couple of years! How did you do it when the little ones were babies? I have a 7, 5, 8 month and pregnant with #4.
@@threearrows2248 I would wear my babies in the wrap during lessons, I would put them in their swing, bassinet, or eventually high chair or play pen with toys once their a little bigger. With a toddler and a baby, the most important thing is your mindset. Be prepared for SO many breaks to tend to the little ones. Your big kids will love it anyway 😆 mine would cheer every time I had to stop and put someone down for a nap and they could go play Lol congrats on baby #4 😍
@@joanna3367 Lol sounds exhausting. Thanks. I guess basically, it's what I did with my now baby, trying to teach the older two. Lots of stop and go!
I wish we had a Mud Kitchen! My lids would love that!
My kids love it!
Flexibility is for sure key with little ones!
Yes!
This is a great collab! I think I'm going to re-watch and take notes.
Naptime, YES!
Thank you Jesus for naptime!!
Great tips! This is one of the top questions I get asked🙂
I love that you make a sensory bin related to the topic you are studying! So fun!
The kids seem to like it! It doesn’t happen for every single thing we’re studying, of course, but usually for one of the unit studies or nature study topics we’re doing!
I always think it's funny when my youngest wants the worksheets that her sister has. Choosing Thomas Jefferson over Peppa Pig?🤔 It's funny❤️
I laughed so hard when he first popped in the background trying to sneak by 🤣🤣 these are all great ideas, thank you
Hahaha I had to keep it in! And you are so welcome!!
These are great insights and strategies!
Thank you Anna!!
I definitely needed this encouragement. Baby 4 & 5 are 1 & 3 and this year has been a STRUGGKE!
You got this mama!!
My older daughter used to go into her playroom when I studied when she was younger and she told my younger daughter to do that and I feel like it’s a good idea for 1 kid but she’s allowed to come into where we homeschool and I often open the door to the playroom so she’s near us but in a different room. I love the idea of busy bins!!! I’m not worried about her education at this age as she’s 4 and doing preschool but I want her involved. I cuddle my daughters in bed as they wake up. My teenage son is awesome when we stop on one to one study time and he’s doing something difficult!!! When my older kids where younger we wasn’t homeschooling so we came into it knowing it was easier but we knew we would be adopting.
It can be a juggling act, for sure!
We love sensory bins! I always love seeing yours and how you create the themes!!!😍
Great tips, Christina! We loved sensory bins! My oldest still like to play with them whenever I get around to setting one up 😆😆
Yes! I’ve definitely “caught” my 10 year-old playing too!
Going outside helps us a lot. The big kids can do their lesson while my youngest plays near us.
Yes!
I’m so glad you joined this collab! Such great ideas! ❤️
Thank you so much for including me!
My youngest always wants what his older siblings have, lol! Your sensory bins are so cute!
Thank you!!
Love this!!!
Crawling along the floor🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤦🏽♀️🤣
How do you store your busy bins?
In the closet!
