@Mookie6120 I kind of do requests... I'd have to listen to the song for a while, it's not on my usual playlist... but I might give it a try. Thanks for watching and commenting! =)
Siouxsie is such a underrated band, they have made such good music, this one for example. Pulled to bits is another great song. The live versions are so good ! You are a very good guitar player ! I really enjoy your videos.
I've just watched a lot of your clips... and I was very interested to see how the sounds I love since my youth were produced. I don't know why but I'd never imagined really that. Your demonstrations has captivated me :-)
@montes12 Ohai! I never saw them live... I'm kinda self-taught in musical taste... when I first started listening to The Cure and The Banshees and stuff, my friends were all into metal or classic rock or something... so it took me a while to realize how good (musically speaking) the things I liked actually were.
@Guedzilla o i mean i didn't explain well when i was saying "live" i mean the video of the concert here on youtube a few years form now when this things wasn't owned by google.AND YES EVERYONE got into music with metal and clasic rock but i like the wierd and original stuff in rock like mcgeoch he is pure originality.
@montes12 Thanks! It grabbed my attention too.. Juju was the second album I got (I think)... I buyed it on vinyl first, because it was hard to find it on cd...
@Mookie6120 Thanks! I'm not sure it is that right... on the record ir seems to be a bit more simple, but at the same time there seem to be some more notes... I based my playing on the live version, where I think he does that little G|-0h7- thing on the riff...
@Guedzilla i mean when i saw this live performance in cologne, i was blow away "by the guy who plays guitar", but the first time i saw the banshees i can't remenber exactly i knew siouxsie before knowing it was siouxsie you know what i mean is like a icon but i got hook up with them with arabian knights killer guitar there =)
Always wanted ask how you think Robert Smith did playing McGeoch's lines when he was in the band? I think many were quite surprised by what an accomplished guitarist he was and I thought he handled himself very well.
@XellKamikaze It's a fun thing to play with, but a bit hard to use it on songs. So far, I've only used it on 2 songs, of 2 different authoral bands. /watch?v=bBdXqWBMSwM and /watch?v=r8zEeuA1h7k , if it's of your interest :)
Love this! How do you play the fast riff throughout? I can see you're doing something around frets 7 and 9, but nothing like what is shown in the online tabs :S literally bewildered! Do you have a tab somewhere?
+iliketowatch26 I don't think I have this tabbed. The riff is played using the bottom part of an E minor chord. There's a bit of open string/hammering going on as well, but I don't remember exactly how. I'll check it out later. Sorry it took me so long to answer.
I'd love to but I don't even know what I was playing on here… could be a free VST plugin that emulates a Marshall amp. Then tried matching it with the original sound.
I uh... I actually think he didn't to that well. Technically speaking. But this has everything to with his roots and coming from punk etc. RS and JMG have a very different approach to the guitar, to my ears, whereas RS is a much more economic and minimalist player and JMG is much more technical. So, to put it better, as a replacement player for JMG I think he didn't do that well, but as a Banshees composer/guitarist he did just fine. And don't get me wrong The Cure is my top band ever.
Another amazing performance - it's like a master class without the lesson.
And without the master :P
Fantastic !!!! Love the sound of the ebow.
Thank you!
It watered my eyes!
OMG!
:D

Thank you for taking your time to write me. I'm glad these videos servea purpose other than showing off or something senseless as that :)
@cryhm1 Thanks for watching! This one must be great to play live with a band... full of energy...

I like how they covered many styles during their career, but never lost their identity. Thank you! :)
Love it! A powerful and heartfelt tribute.
Thank you!
So excellent!!
Thanks!
And again... The notes & the timing are just so tight/ precise... I love your playing.
Thank God we were blessed with John McGeoch ❤️
:)
Oh, and I really love Robert's guitar tone whilst with the Banshees/The Glove...
John McGeogh played some brilliant guitar. He did Shot by both Sides for Magazine,i play that myself, great track
He was amazing!
Thanks for watching :)

@VlogKing Thanks! I think Juju is very concise, very focused. Some other albums are a bit more scattered. Not that that's good or bad either.. =)

@warminator Thanks for dropping by again :)
@skywalker74 Thanks for stopping by!
Nice!!!! Well done.

Your guitar sounds incredible. What kind of pedal do you use? Such a great work!
Thanks! I don't remember… maybe a ProCo You Dirty Rat and software amp sims.

@Agaricfly68 Thanks! I'd like to see some more live footage from this song though...
@marbeax Thank you :)
Always spot on! :)
Thanks again!!!
Now where's my e-bow gone? ;-)

Pazzescoo!!!
Grazie!
What is that metal thing you’re using?
Ebow, electronic sustainer. Makes the sustained sound through half the song.
Do you want to share your amp settings? :)
I'd love to but I don't even know what I was playing on here… could be a free VST plugin that emulates a Marshall amp. Then tried matching it with the original sound.
SG 2000?
3000
You fucking break it, man
Thanks for watching! :D

you still alive?
Aye. Between being and adult and father…
haaa
Better than the Banshees...
More like an attempted aproximation of the original wonder...
