    Thank you for visiting Nakhon Phanom. Pak Mor Sri Tape has been a staple for me ever since I walked from home to primary school passing this shop everyday. Living abroad now, not being able to travel anywhere due to COVID sucks, but your video brings back sweet memory and much joy. Keep up with good content, Mark!

    The rice roll with pork reminds me of Vietnamese banh cuon. The one with the rice crackers is like the Chinese Jian bing. The one with the egg is so interesting! I would love to try it!!!

    Look at how Thailand has handled this Covid-19, says a lot of the country when people follow medical recommendations, and now mostly back to regular life.. enjoying good food and culture.

    It’s banh coun, it’s missing steamed bean shoots and chopped up mint leaves & topped up with lot’s of crispy shallots. A great summer Vietnamese dish. Drizzled with fish sauce.

      Actually you can pass those veggie toppings of the southern style except the crispy shallots since they try to make the northern style or central style bánh cuốn version in the video.

    Looks like you did some temple offering as you have monk's knots tied on your right wrist!!! The steamed noodle wrapper reminds us so much of breakfasts in Ho Chi Minh... sauces in Nakhon seem to be thicker... that crispy sandwich is quite unique to this area... never seen it in Bangkok and Chiangmai... Good Eating Mark!!!

    The last one or the crunchy version is actually called "Bánh Đập" which is only popular in the central part of Vietnam.

    It so interesting to see such quality and fresh meals that cost so little. For those same meals in the US they charge 10.00 to 15.00 dollars. I can't wait untill the pandemic is under control. I really want to visit and try the delicious food.

      The ritual of the baci involves tying strings around a person's wrist to preserve good luck, and has become a national custom.... I am a Laotian, born and raised in Germany, at our Wedding (I have a swiss one and a lao wedding) I had more than 200 strings on my wrist.... each side hahaha

    I went once to Nakhon Phanom for a special boat festival and like this place but because of its location, haven't make a second visit yet. 80 bath for all 3 items is cheap but that coffee for 65 baht is one of the most expensive in Thailand, higher than Bangkok price.

    The first dish is bánh cuốn.. it doesn't have the bean sprouts with some basil garnish and cucumber. The egg in the rice flour packet is definitely a personal creation. I have never seen that before. Other than that a dope video as usual Mark. This covid causing your absence in the international food scene.
