Thank you for visiting Nakhon Phanom. Pak Mor Sri Tape has been a staple for me ever since I walked from home to primary school passing this shop everyday. Living abroad now, not being able to travel anywhere due to COVID sucks, but your video brings back sweet memory and much joy. Keep up with good content, Mark!

The rice roll with pork reminds me of Vietnamese banh cuon. The one with the rice crackers is like the Chinese Jian bing. The one with the egg is so interesting! I would love to try it!!!
OMG the egg noodle looks so good. The people are so kind and giving. So many places you visit the people are very nice! And the foods just yummy! Kudos to you and your wife and little Micah.
Look at how Thailand has handled this Covid-19, says a lot of the country when people follow medical recommendations, and now mostly back to regular life.. enjoying good food and culture.
It’s banh coun, it’s missing steamed bean shoots and chopped up mint leaves & topped up with lot’s of crispy shallots. A great summer Vietnamese dish. Drizzled with fish sauce.
Actually you can pass those veggie toppings of the southern style except the crispy shallots since they try to make the northern style or central style bánh cuốn version in the video.
we've been on lockdown since November and your videos make our lives lighter. It's nice to see that you guys are able to roam around while we here are at a "Stay at Home" order. Thanks for all your videos
Watching Mark enjoying any meal drives me to want to eat again and again inspite of having finished eating my lunch or dinner and to visit these places.
Looks like you did some temple offering as you have monk's knots tied on your right wrist!!! The steamed noodle wrapper reminds us so much of breakfasts in Ho Chi Minh... sauces in Nakhon seem to be thicker... that crispy sandwich is quite unique to this area... never seen it in Bangkok and Chiangmai... Good Eating Mark!!!
Thank you so much Eugenio. The white strings on my wrist are from a welcome ceremony to a village, we had visited a few days earlier. Will share about that soon. Thank you!
Thanks for showing us these places, I know you just like us want to see new places, new food styles, new countries. I hope that in the next couple of years there will be a time where this is possible.

Thank you mark for another great video. I’ve been watching your other channel for years and love this one too. One thing that makes you stand out from the other three food travel UA-cam channels, which I’m a fan of too, is your absolute respect for the culture and people for wherever you are at! Thank you and keep em coming!
It so interesting to see such quality and fresh meals that cost so little. For those same meals in the US they charge 10.00 to 15.00 dollars. I can't wait untill the pandemic is under control. I really want to visit and try the delicious food.
my daughter knows i watch you and your different channels. she doesn't subscribe to you. my sister does. i have gotten a few family to join. but when my daughter sees me watching your shows and Sunny Side she is fascinated. She is in college and is East Asian studies and Political Science.
The ritual of the baci involves tying strings around a person's wrist to preserve good luck, and has become a national custom.... I am a Laotian, born and raised in Germany, at our Wedding (I have a swiss one and a lao wedding) I had more than 200 strings on my wrist.... each side hahaha
Hi Mark, did you notice the city doesn’t have messy overhead cable wires like many major cities including Bangkok? They have done a good job. Enjoyed your videos.
@@MarkAbroad Hi Mark yes, they travel a lot...I hope to see you all together one time; Joel, you, Chuck and Darren; all Thailand lovers, positive and humble people! Yes have an amazing day...enjoy for us and let's us dream...

Love you videos Mark!!! Micah is growing up so fast! Bánh cuốn is oneof my absolute favourite things to eat!!! Mom used to make it with the egg inside too, and ditto, love the basic one the best. PS. Your chili tolerance is something else! Keep up your great work! Love watching you other videos with Ying and Micah! Take care, from Canada!
Wow that looks amazing. Banh cuon one of my favourite Vietnamese dishes, I need to try the egg one that looks so juicy. Mark that's alot of chillies you have on their!
LOL!! It's so bad for me to watch you if I'm drinking! I find myself at the store and kitchen EVERY time. My poor hubby. Love watching your adventures. I live vicariously through you.
I went once to Nakhon Phanom for a special boat festival and like this place but because of its location, haven't make a second visit yet. 80 bath for all 3 items is cheap but that coffee for 65 baht is one of the most expensive in Thailand, higher than Bangkok price.
Thank you Mark for another wonderful dining experience in that Thai region of Nakhon Phanom Province.👍One of my destinations to visit when I arrive in Thailand.💖There is another temple Wat Phra That Phanom.
The first dish is bánh cuốn.. it doesn't have the bean sprouts with some basil garnish and cucumber. The egg in the rice flour packet is definitely a personal creation. I have never seen that before. Other than that a dope video as usual Mark. This covid causing your absence in the international food scene.
I am bilingual Spanish/English.. I enjoy hearing Mika in the background speaking both Languages ❤️Thai and English
