Rogue Shadow The fact that there are craftable instruments in the game makes it even more confusing. I first thought that if the random notes equated to 'normal' dialogue (as normal as DtSt gets, anyway) then the melody could be something different, more intense than normal talking. A song, or some insane rambling. Who knows? Maxwell still refers to it as a song, though. So you may be right. Hopefully Klei will give us an answer in the future if the game's development continues past DST.

When that you're plopped on that chair after trying to "do the right thing" and end this guys suffering- hearing his speech about the horrors he's seen and the time he's suffered and the agony on his face as he falls to bones and dust- and then the song kicks back up... One of the scariest things I've seen. In media and books. H.P. Lovecraft would be jealous of this story. Well done Klei, well done indeed.
It’s sad that the characters just fucking die instead of turning to dust like Maxwell it’s also cannon that Maxwell is still alive and helped Wilson build the celestial portal and that’s when the events of don’t starve together happen (this ofc happens after Charlie takes the throne from Wilson and banishes him samurai jack style)

So addition of wagstaff proved that pretty much everything in dont starve works like we see it: days are 8 normal minutes long, fire pits ignite on a slight touch with any fuel, etc etc

i have always found that the creepiest part of all is if you turn off the music before freeing maxwell and take his place, the music will turn back on as normal once you've taken your place.
