This is so relevant to me because I was born in 2003. I’ve slowly seen the downward spiral of America and it’s so saddening. My childhood was the last normal childhood in America
Early 2000s and 2010s we're the best times. 2020s is the worst decade.
If you are sad for the downward spiral you witnessed being born in 2003 imagine those of us, born in the 70's. I feel I got trapped in a parallel universe. And yes, the 70s and 80s were great
Fortunately as a 2005er I was not messed up. But so many people I know are so I guess i just got lucky.

I was in a box for 10 years essentially, went in 2012 and popped out around 2020. I had the worst time adjusting to the "New" rules. I still and probaly won't adapt well. I feel like i'm lost in another timeline. This isn't the world I left. This isn't the world I wanted to return to. It's rough seeing it all fall apart and they aren't even hiding it. Regardless I will keep moving forward!

If people hadn't been afraid to do that for so many decades, then we wouldn't be in the mess of a position we are now in. We shouldn't just hope or pray that God fixes things. 19 years is a rather insignificant span of time when you take the whole of human existence into consideration, but this just goes to show how much can change in such a short time.
Even just 2019 versus 2022. People keep talking about late autumn 2024 being a turn around (which at best wouldn't really begin until January 20, 2025) I keep thinking... are we even going to be around in spring 2024?
Well 19 years is around 25 percent of someones life, so I dunno about you but I don't think a quarter of my life is an insignificant amount of time

when I was 33 I spent a year away in a not so happy place (rehab, but not the cool kind like in movies) and figured out that it came out to about 3% of my life. Nineteen years out of a regular life span (more or less 75 years) is 25%!!!!!

Depends on who wins the culture war. One side wants to change the history we learn in schools by filling it with modern regressive ideals. If that is the case, history books won't mention anything going against their narrative... if we are still allowed to have books at that point.

In 2003 I came to the US from an Eastern European country to study here- absolute dream and felt so free and hopeful to pursue my dreams and be myself. 2022- still here, have my dream job and my dream daughter but have so many doubts and fears about my daughter growing up here in the US.
That actually kind of hurts me. I am proud of America's heritage as the place other people look to as a beacon of freedom and prosperity. We now have a portion of our own population trying to tear that down. I hope this trend is temporary, but for now I suggest you take your daughter out of any public schools.
Nowadays Eastern Europe seems to be well grounded in reality. Who knows! You might want to consider moving back over there? but wait till this Ukraine crisis is over; I would not be surprised if Putin uses tactical nuclear weapons on Europe/NATO.
@@freespeech6999 Poland is pretty solid. Conservative values thanks largely to their Catholic heritage and the attacks they've suffered from more radical countries. If I couldn't live in America, Poland would be on my short list.

Keep her out of the public education system if you can help it, if you can afford homeschooling it would be preferrable over the public education system but it is very difficult and requires a lot of investment from not just yourself but the child's willingness to learn as well. Lastly be involved in your child's development and understand what your daughter is consuming whether it's entertainment or education.
Obviously you don't want to be a helicopter parent, but look for ways to have a balanced form of parenting where you are involved doing things with your daughter and being a part of her life instead of allowing the internet and the system to essentially parent your child for you. If you follow through with this your daughter will be fine, but she may find herself in a smaller world being different from the drones we produce today out of public education.
