My VERY old fashioned grandmother would have LOVED this interview. This was a lady who lived through the Great Depression, never wore a pair of pants a day in her life, and never learned how to drive. But she LOVED "wrasslin" in the 90s. When WWF came on, she became an absolute hooligan, yelling at the TV. What a great interview!
I’m so blown away by this. He is not at all what I expected. I naively know him only as the sock 🧦 man from wrestling my dad and I would watch as a kiddo. When I clicked on this I did not prepare to see a well spoken, crazy intelligent, heartfelt man truly intrigue me. The fact that he not only keeps shouting out his own kiddos, but chooses to eat vegan wings and drink almond milk almost purely for them and their beliefs is beyond beautiful. Sean struck my heart cords once again. First we feast is ferociously forward thinking and flat out fun for the full family once again. PS. My dad doesn’t even know how to use UA-cam but I sent him the link just in case because I know he would get a kick out of seeing Mankind impersonate Vince McMahon. ❤️🔥

The number of serious head injuries this man has sustained and still can be so eloquent and socially comfortable. This is the survivor and thriver of the Golden age. Such a teddy bear, couldn't ask for a better guest for the show. Thanks guys!
I still have his autograph picture and socko from meeting him when I was a kid. He was such a down to earth and friendly person. He just felt like he could be everyone's dad.
His characters were all famously deranged and violent, but he's one of the sweetest, most thoughtful, and charitable human beings you could ever hope to meet. Class act is right.
A truly humble guy in a business teeming with overinflated egos, who reached the top through sheer passion and determination to give the fans a show. Foley is one of my heroes for sure.
If you ever watch his matches, he's thr complete opposite in the ring! 😂 he was literally a savage. One match his tooth went through his gums and out his nostril. And he laughed like a madman. 🐐
Even if you never watched wrestling you should read his books, they are so good and just show how amazing articulate and authentic he is. (And he wrote them all on yellow legal pads, meaning no ghost writers. He’s just a great human being)
He really, really is. He's one of the most beloved guys for everything he's done in and out of the ring. Foley manned a RAINN online hotline because he believed in the cause and wanted to help people through their worst days; you don't do something like that for the publicity.
This dude comes around my town all the time. Always saw him in the bars or sitting in the crowd at local wrestling events. Idk if he has family or a summer home here, but it's like seeing a mythical creature from my childhood every time he's spotted. What an absolutely wholesome man
I have to say he has the best immediate description of Da Bomb I’ve ever encountered so far: “That’s like a Japanese death-match with no storytelling!” If you’ve ever seen an actual Japanese death-match with no storytelling, this is beyond perfect.
This was so wholesome! I stopped watching wrestling as a kid around the time that Mankind was really around, but even then you could tell he was a sweetheart of a man, and this just solidified it. So happy he is paying attention to his health, for him and his kids, and what an effortless storyteller. What a pick from the talent staff!!

Then, other times, they have someone on whom I'm genuinely interested in the content of the interview, and Sean Evans does such an unreal job that I'm just enthralled. Those guys deserve every bit of success they've earned
This program never ceases to amaze me. Sean just brings out the best in everyone. I’ve seen interviews with celebs i don’t like and his interviews change my mind.
I lived in the same place as him. When people saw him in public, he always had a smile for everyone and he would stop for any kid wanting to say hi. He is an amazing person! I will always be a fan!

Fun fact, I was part of his entourage at wing bowl. My co-worker won tickets through the local radio station and took me. We wore shirts that said Foley on the back and the number was made in candy cane lettering. Awesome experience and such a fun amazing person.
I am so incredibly happy to have met this man, it might have only been a brief moment but he made me feel special and his aura was so positive and happy
Agreed my parents met him in person at our local mall once and they said he was one of the nicest people they had met, he took a picture with them and was genuinely just kind to them they said 😊
My favorite thing about this show is I go from not knowing who a celebrity is to really enjoying who they are to the point of wanting to grab a drink with them hypothetically some day. This show is such a bright spot in what is often a dark world.
Now this episode has to be one of my most favorites so far, having a legend that we grew up with and enjoyed his personality on and off the ring.... definitely brought me to tears...

This was a lady who lived through the Great Depression, never wore a pair of pants a day in her life, and never learned how to drive. But she LOVED "wrasslin" in the 90s. When WWF came on, she became an absolute hooligan, yelling at the TV. What a great interview!
L comment
You just described my grandmother too. Mine lived in Canada and had plates of the queen on the wall, but watch out when her wrasslin’ came on!
This was just a pure joy to watch. I remember watching him go through so much violence and brutality. What a human being. Still makes me smile.
"The man I think I am may not turn out to be the man I am." I've always admired Mick's self-awareness.
Such an unbelievably genuine and humble guy….
I absolutely love these wrestler interviews, they’re somehow always so wholesome it’s beautiful!
As a wrestling fan. I'm very fulfilled.
Go on do you think you had a man here to explain pregnancy to you man? Do you already know a man explaining you were the one that said I don’t know how you feed my belly so I was explaining to you I guess I hit text to speech and started writing all of what we were saying into a comment so I’m posting that I was the guy just gonna keep going. I’m posting it. See you this video.
Hhahhahaha
I met this man at a comic con. And I would love to have an uncle Foley. Such a genuine, kind-hearted person.
I actually hadn’t heard of this man before.
What an absolute legend and class act.
wrote some good books too
Go away, zoomer.
@@ARedMotorcycleLmao, you'd only know who this guy is if you watch wrestling. Calm down, boomer
have you met Mr. Socko?
His characters were all famously deranged and violent, but he's one of the sweetest, most thoughtful, and charitable human beings you could ever hope to meet. Class act is right.
A truly humble guy in a business teeming with overinflated egos, who reached the top through sheer passion and determination to give the fans a show. Foley is one of my heroes for sure.
This feels like a conversation among friends, rather than an interview. I honestly think, just from an interview point, this is your best ever.
this was one of the best episodes i've ever seen. i have never watched wrestling, but this dude is so funny, real and caring. absolutely loved it.
💯 especially as it relates to his storytelling ability.
He is the nicest, most hard working, most humble person ever! Thank you for everything, all the great entertainment and especially for being such an absolute gentleman. You're a true legend!!
So....are we ever going to see Nardwuar on Hot Ones? Flip the script and allow him to interview Sean while eating wings?
Never knew this man till today. i am glad i clicked on this video to see how vibrant this character is. He clearly brings/brought joy to his fans :)
You may have already known him as The Boulder in Avatar
You have no idea what this man means to a whole generation
Honestly one of the most genuine, nicest and happiest-to-meet fans celebrities of all-time. The dude set out to carve a career to please people, and he has done it.
Man, I've definitely developed a higher appreciation for Hot Ones. So much of the time I watch it for the spectacle.
Same, he really brings out the most human and likeable side of everyone.
@@LateLastNightnot DJ Khaled😂
@@Pickle_RiiiickAnd maybe also Joe Budden with his constant mockery towards Sean and the show itself.
I love it when a hero I had as a kid is still a role model and a great person all these years later. Love this guy, great episode.👍🏽
he has the sparkle and innocence in his eyes. what a legend. great episode.
Absolutely love this one. A humble legend. No theatrics and yet so interesting. Great rep for mankind.
I see what you did there. Well done.
He's such wholesome dude also he went through the wings not even flinching outside of Da Bomb. He is a legend.
Mick's genuine tone at 15:22 is priceless. Love this reaction.
I prefer 16:00! Hallmark Christmas pulled him off the stretcher so he could climb back to the top of the hot wing cage!
I lived in the same place as him. When people saw him in public, he always had a smile for everyone and he would stop for any kid wanting to say hi. He is an amazing person! I will always be a fan!
Wrestlers are the most fascinating hot ones interviews. Foley deserves everything.
All their stories are in the "no way. There's no way that happened" zone but you know they lived it.
@@Melancthon7332 at its heart, wresting is about story telling. As Foley alluded to when he compared that sauce to a deathmatch with no story
0:08 who else thought the mankind theme was about to play.
Obviously as close they could get without paying the royalties to WWE for the actual song
I was there when he won the WWF championship from the Rock on Raw . . . Changed the course of wrestling history, and still one of the greatest memories of my life.
I love that you called it WWF. The real winner of the title from the late 80s. Is the world wode fund for nature still a thing?
“The man I think I am, may not turn out to be the man I am.” Great quote!
What a Legend! Probably the most humble guy I have ever met. So glad he slayed the wings.
Mic Foley's just the best! He's just as kind in person as I imagined him to be! Maybe even more! His laugh is so heartwarming! He's so wholesome! Don't know why I feel like tearing up, but I love this man! ❤
Mick’s “you sure?” was adorable lol like a grandpa asking if you’re ok.
The wings couldn't handle the savagery and heart of Mankind!!
Mad props Mr. Foley, well done sir!!
Fun fact, I was part of his entourage at wing bowl. My co-worker won tickets through the local radio station and took me. We wore shirts that said Foley on the back and the number was made in candy cane lettering. Awesome experience and such a fun amazing person.
Hail to the legend. Man sacrificed himself over and over for what he loved. The fact that he's still standing is a testament to his ability.
I am so incredibly happy to have met this man, it might have only been a brief moment but he made me feel special and his aura was so positive and happy
Check out his second book "Foley is Good", it's a good read :)
Agreed my parents met him in person at our local mall once and they said he was one of the nicest people they had met, he took a picture with them and was genuinely just kind to them they said 😊
Absolute legend. Such a humble human being. A true hero to mankind
Absolute legend. Taught a lot of us to keep fighting and being positive no matter what life puts you through.
Mike Foley along with Steve Austin, Kane, Undertaker, The Rock etc. I thank you so much for the great moments n memories from the Raw Days 🙏🏾🥲❤
The man has never not been a Legend, shine on good Sir
A legend!!! So happy to see him doing well ❤ thank you for bringing him to the show ❤
That is a TRUE respectable , humble man through and through . I wish more people would do the same .
You have no idea how incredibly happy this makes me. This man is my childhood! I love every celebrity you've had on the show, but this man is an actual LEGEND!!
Foley is one of the best human beings walking the earth. Just a solid good person. Love seeing him pop up like this!
One of the best guests ever such a legend in the wrestling world. Hats off to you guys for having him on.
*1 of the toughest and kindest human beings to ever walk the Earth.*
Foley was never the big name headliner, but growing up his name was mentioned just as much as Taker, Rock and Stone Cold. He is an ultimate legend that never was expected
