About Marwari horse:
The Marwari or Malani[1] is a rare breed of horse from the Marwar (or Jodhpur) region of India. Known for its inward-turning ear tips, it comes in all equine colours, although piebald and skewbald patterns tend to be the most popular with buyers and breeders. It is known for its hardiness, and is quite similar to the Kathiawari, another Indian breed from the Kathiawar region southwest of Marwar. Many breed members exhibit a natural ambling gait. The Marwari horses are descended from native Indian ponies crossed with Arabian horses, possibly with some Mongolian influence.
The Rathores, traditional rulers of the Marwar region of western India, were the first to breed the Marwari. Beginning in the 12th century, they espoused strict breeding that promoted purity and hardiness. Used throughout history as a cavalry horse by the people of the Marwar region, the Marwari was noted for its loyalty and bravery in battle. The breed deteriorated in the 1930s, when poor management practices resulted in a reduction of the breeding stock, but today has regained some of its popularity. The Marwari is used for light draught and agricultural work, as well as riding and packing. In 1995, a breed society was formed for the Marwari horse in India. The exportation of Marwari horses was banned for decades, but between 2000 and 2006, a small number of exports were allowed. Since 2008, visas allowing temporary travel of Marwari horses outside India have been available in small numbers. Though they are rare they are becoming more popular outside of India due to their unique looks.

It is cruel when using a whip to train them but there are better methods of training this my uncle trains horses to dance but he doesn't use a whip he uses a dog heel stick and just tapz on the hoof he wants lifted and when the horse does he gives them a treat then he teached them a pattern once they have been taught how to lift their hoof

Carmen i know im late but this isnt abuse. The horses look healthy and better fed than some peopl watching. The guy leading the horse has a whip but is using it only to guide its movements. The bells on its front legs arent affecting it in any way (its not lifting its feet higher or so) and its clearly not scared (Look in its eyes, their ears arent flat either). These are beautiful and talented horses. Bravo to their trainers.👏

Why are there more likes than dislikes? Not many people notice but this horse is obviously being abused and mistreated in such a hurtful way. It's neck is strapped to its chest, Making it uncomfortable. The poor thing is being whipped, pulled on the mouth, and experiencing the worst torture of its life, and what are they doing? Cheering, clapping, and giving them money to support more animal abuse like this. They are not trained this way, they have no choice. The loud noise and music is irritating and scaring it, just Put yourself in the poor horse's shoes.

A lot of the "this is abuse" comments on this video are striking me as quite racist and ignorant. Those aren't shock collars around the ankles, they're just bells. And whips are used as a training aid to cue horses to do certain things in dressage; it doesn't mean they are beaten with them. As for the movements the horses are doing, I don't know much about them but they strike me as their own version of dressage. What the one horse at 1:45 is doing is actually less strenuous than a levade since it's holding the position for a shorter period of time and not sinking onto the hindquarters as deeply. I just think it's funny how the same people who applaud the airs above ground at the Spanish Riding School think this is abuse. Unless you have personal knowledge of how these horses were trained don't assume the worst.

I’m not sure people are saying this is abusive, we have no clue how they were trained. So we can’t say anything. Who knows maybe they were trained in a good manor

Even thought we dont know how they were trained the handlers in this video are just being straight up abusing, sawing the reins to make its head shake, tying there heads to there necks, those things on there ankles too are extremely painful to them there only ‘dancing’ out of pain.
