Hi. No they each have their own spaces and play areas. The cockatiel wants to join into everything tho. Also, the cockatiel is very powdery and could cause the caique allergies because they don’t shed dander. Also have an air filter running continuously. 🤗🦜
my two dream birds are a caique and a cockatiel, but i’ve heard in so many places that they don’t mix a lot of the time. mind you i already have a cockatiel, and i would get scared of them getting in a fight because i do love my tiel 😭👍 how did you introduce these two? :oo
Hi! They do each have their own houses and play areas. Most of the time they didn’t care for one another, but then the cockatiel became curious and kept flying near the caique. Under a watchful eye, just made sure they were being cordial to one another. The bedroom became their first shared play area as I got ready to go out, they would walk around exploring the space. The caique still doesn’t show much interest in the cockatiel, but they are still cool with one another at a distance.
@@gtdc Ohh ok!! i thought it’d probably be for the best to keep them in seperate rooms, if it keeps them happy i wouldn’t mind. maybe introduce them at some point, i dunno, depends on personalities i think and how they react to similar things. and thankyou for replying!! hopefully one day i’ll be able to get my own caique :D
@Skorvy You’re welcome. Caiques are stubborn, have huge personalities, need to be with you constantly, play, and never run out of energy! If you have the patience and love for that, go for it.
@sudharsanv2289 It’s possible. We do not leave them unattended though, so they are usually civil around one another, given they’ve seen each other everyday for last 10 years.
❤👍🏻👍🏻😁
Do they share a cage? My parrotlets is caged with my cockatiels (he insists! he has his own cage but loves the cockatiels).
