- Today we take an exclusive look inside the infamous Nickelodeon Family Suites Resort in Orlando, Florida as Ryan & Danny brave a stay in this supposedly haunted hotel!
Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites - Waterpark (formerly known as Holiday Inn Family Suites, Nickelodeon Family Suites by Holiday Inn, Nickelodeon Suites Resort, and simply the Nick Hotel) is an all-suite hotel in Orlando, Florida, United States, near the Universal Orlando Resort and one mile from Walt Disney World Resort. It is a Holiday Inn Resort. From 2005 to 2016, the hotel was themed after the cable television channel Nickelodeon.
The resort features one-to-three bedroom suites and two waterparks, the Lagoon Pool and Oasis Pool. A "4-D" film theater using SimEx-Iwerks technology, 3,000-square-foot arcade, golf course, multi-level basketball court and family game shows are held at the hotel, and "Nick After Dark" event locations were also previously held at the hotel. The resort formerly contained a shopping area with a Nickelodeon-brand retail shop and a buffet known as the "Nicktoons Café", among other restaurants. Near the entrance of the resort was a time capsule formerly buried outside the former Nickelodeon Studios complex at nearby Universal Studios Florida.
Nickelodeon Suites Resort was named one of the AAA's top ten family vacation spots in 2010, and in 2011, the hotel became the first to receive the AHLEI's Certified Guest Service Property Designation.
On January 18, 2021, the debranded Holiday Inn Resort filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy

I would never stay there. The demon possession is fine but the desk stain is unacceptable. 😂
HAHAHAHA OMG THIS COMMENT WINS 😂
🤬
Super dorky of me to say this, but I low-key got really hyped when I saw that Antonio's pizza was still there! Antonio's pizza is the pizza place that the ninja turtles get pizza from in the 2012 version of the show, so it's actually a remnant of the Nick Hotel!
I will forever be jealous of the kids who got to stay a couple nights at the nick resorts. My family never had the money to😭
Aw man I loved it
Yeah it sucks that there isn't one in the US anymore. My kids are such big fans that we are going to the one in the DR this summer. Very over priced.
I love that the once “epic” Nickelodeon hotel is now just a run down Holiday Inn 😂 Great video man, love seeing this type of stuff.. always cool hunting down remnants of the past
I stayed there as a kid and went back as an adult to look for it. Genuinely thought staying there was a fever dream because all I found was a Holiday Inn.
Ryan, it is a crime against humanity that you are not getting more views. This is comedy gold!! And for the record… it’s a no from me, dawg. I am not staying there 😅
This is seriously the highest form of compliment I could receive and i can’t thank you enough 🙏🙏
My only hope is that the UA-cam gods will start putting my videos in front of more eyeballs, but until then I will keep bust’n my butt to make these videos the best they can be 🙌
Thank you for the support and you chose correctly on not wanting to stay here 😂😂
For real though. People are sleeping on his channel. Content GOLD.
Agreed! His content is GOLD! Informative, but also engaging and fun! Keep it up!
Came here to say this too. Seriously underrated in the whole Disney/Orlando blogosphere and a HUGE breath of fresh air content-wise.
@@ForTheLoveOfThemeParksVlogsyou know it’s comeing back right
As a former Nickelodeon Family Suite entertainment employee… no, no I would not stay there. Lol
Elaborate 👀
Spill that tea 😂
don't be shy...talk some more.
For those curious Defunctland did an interview with a woman who used to work at the Nick Hotel. Look up "Not The Best Day After Defunctland" and you'll understand why. 😬
Double Dare Live was the best! Would you work at the new Nick Hotel at 192 and 429, if that gets built?
I remember going here when I was like 5! I'm 15 now! I will always remember the spongebob room and getting to see spongebob and patrick in the breakfast room.
SAMMME!!!! I WAS 6
Haha, loved the Paranormal Activities / Ghost Hunter edit!!
OMG i didn’t even notice till watching it back! What was going on with me?? Must’ve been the bad pizza 😂😂
@@ForTheLoveOfThemeParksVlogs Almost to 4K!! Keep up the great work, Ryan!
There is a haunted hotel in Orlando if you are up for it
I used to go to it when I was younger in 2013 - 2017 and saw it slowly change its so sad to see that it’s not Nick anymore
I used to work at Walt Disney World. Many of my coworkers moonlighted at the Nickelodeon hotel. My brother and my best friend worked in the entertainment department.
Holy cow I’ve actually stayed here post-transformation and never knew that it used to be the old nick hotel! I definitely thought it was weird that the random holiday inn had so many features, including a crazy water park, but it makes sense now (a raccoon went down the water slide and closed down the slides)
Oh, the mental picture that gave me!! 🦝 🤣
The Nick Hotel deserves to comeback
It’s coming back alright but it’s going to be in area for Florida.
Man, I always wanted to go to the Nickelodeon Resort as a kid.
I remember excitedly opening a SpongeBob Kid Cuisine for a chance to win, only to be shocked out of disappointment.
And seeing that Holiday Inn took over is mad heartbreaking. Where did all the Nicktoon cutouts go? Where's their time capsule set to be opened in the 2040s now?
Most importantly, where's the magic? 😔
I remember going here as a kid it was cool
the time capsule was moved to the studios in California
the cutouts were probably realistically thrown out.
Now we need bro to go to the Cartoon Network Hotel before that closes down 😂
i always wondered how stained the pools and clothes got from the giant bucket of green slime pouring down
ex-worker here (my grandma has worked on that physical property for 18 years) can confirm that at the very least, the reservations office and accounting office are haunted
used to work aquatics division as a cabana attendant and eventually a slide-opp lol most of the elevators on property (around lagoon pool) stopped working around that last year is was still licensed.... they stopped working after one of the 3 main maintenance workers quit...
I’m surprised you don’t have the recognition you deserve. From what I can tell, your content is very entertaining; at least to me. I hope people start to notice you more.
Paramount+ hotel is a great idea! For Super Bowl in Las Vegas they changed a volcano show into a snowy mountain with a Paramount+ ice house or something. I remembered that when it snowed like a foot at my house but didn't stick to the ground anywhere else.
I read that after the rethemeing, the laser maze became a Batman lazer maze but I guess they closed it down (I only know this because of the Defunctland video)
Not gonna lie, the nickelodeon artwork looked really dope...
Everything is so boring and drab now a days lol 😂😊
No one listen to the part at 9:15
😂
I caught he threw you under the bus on that one
The holiday inn resort is screaming out for nickelodeon to put her clothes back on.
Thank you for your video
This video is sooo good 😂😂 you do an amazing job and I learn something new with your videos! No I wouldn’t choose to stay there! 😬
You need more views dude! I’m subscribing for sure for entertainment
"He walked on my grave, his soul is mine" 😂😂😂
I love this kind of video where people explore abandoned buildings! Its very interesting!
Aww, I took my kids to Nick Hotel a couple of times before the decline. We loved it there. We'd be in Magic Kingdom and they'd say "Can we go back to the hotel?" I'd sit with my frozen Margarita and watch them get doused with that bucket all afternoon. The food court was awful, though.
I've been to that hotel when I was a kid and me and my brother were in heaven 😂 I can still see where everything was and remember the layout it's just blue now instead of orange, and the room we had was a Jimmy Neutron one which was awesome cause I love that show
I been here during spring break and i also stayed here when i was little and remember the slime bucket so fun memories
First time seeing this channel, and ya'll are hilarious! Also I'd always wondered what the hotel looked like these days. It's sad to see what it is now.
Thanks so much for checking out the channel!! Tons of more history/comedy stuff on the way soon 🙌
Another place I have never been. We are IHG members (Holiday Inn) and would possibly stay there one night but after learning about the $50 resort fee that would be a big nope. Made it to the end. 👍🏻
Thank you for watching! 🙏
Another thing i learned from that day is that I am also a Holiday Inn member apparently 😂😂 They have me a good wristband and everything 🤷♂️😂
Awesome video!
Great review
I actually stayed here about a year ago for spring break and I didn’t realize this was an old nick hotel until I watched this
Another cool fun fact the parking lot was used for a haunted "Theme park" called Dark Horizons which was great but sadly was closed after covid
All Holiday Inn/IHG employees currently in emergency meetings printing "This Man Is Banned" posters with Ryan's face on them.
And, NO.. I have a 999 haunt max.
Dude, I always wanted to stay in the nick hotel. I was sad when it closed. But I would totally still stay here.
lol, you guys are so funny love the video!
Thank you so much Randy!! 🙏
Loved this video 😅😅
If you say 3 time dan schneider in the bathroom mirror he will appear.
Scariest thing ever! 😬
New to your channel although I’ve seen you several times in other vloggers videos! You’re a gem and I’m excited to give a watch to all of your videos! And no…I’m good with not staying at the hotel!!!
Keep this content going
We used to stay here all the time. Was wondering what happened here. Great video!
I remember saying here as a kid! I loved that place 😂
Super jealous!! I pestered my parents SO MUCH to take me there, but unfortunately I never made it 😭
We stayed here when my kids were like 7-8 they had a blast. Loved every second.
YES, I would stay here for the nostalgia. We stayed at the Nick Hotel a few times in the early 2010s and my favorite part was Double Dare Live. We usually stayed for my son's birthday in February and the standard, non-Nick themed room was around $110 a night. My kids loved it!
Yoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, The family pics......................I can't yo.
Banger video
Thank you, thank you 🙏
Excellent video as always!
We would not stay there 😅
Haha I don’t blame ya!! Thank you for the support as always! More history vlogs to come 🙌
I remember going to that hotel a few times a year
Not the skid mark on the desk Ryan 😂. More hotel reviews!
Thank you guys I was thinking of this place but now I need more information to make a disitions
What an intro. My guy 😮😮😮
Thank you, thank you 🙏
"If you just look at my feet" hits a lil dif in 2024 w/ Nickelodeon
OMG I always wanted to stay at the Nickelodeon Hotel!
I’m gonna pass!! 😜 great video, guys!!
We stayed there about a year after they took the nick themeing down and it was pretty much exactly the same as your review. Food court was pathetic and the 4d theater was no longer open anymore, but it wasnt bad for the price . Really deserves some more stuff to do.
3:31 we are basically getting a paramount plus hotel called Everest place in Kissimmee 😂 I drive by the construction site almost every day.
No way??!! 😀
I stayed here a few years ago and didn't even know anyone this lore ! I was at the place I always wanted to go as a kid and had no idea
I never knew Nickelodeon had a hotel. And I was born in 2002! I do vaguely remember going to a Nickelodeon ride where they played SpongeBob but in 3D animation for the first time. I have no memory of where this was at. It was the only time I went to this amusement park. I think it was the park that you mentioned in this video. It did look familiar. Anyone else have a memory similar to mine?
This is hilarious 😂
fun fact! Antonio's Pizzeria is from the 2012 TMNT as the turtle's pizza place of choice so that's a lil detail you may have missed but i'm also a bit sad it's just knockoff Little Cesar's
I think this is my favorite video! Prime entertainment 👌🏻 and nooooo I would not stay there - I wouldn’t know who to call about the ghosts 😉
Back at the end and YES 😅
as a 20 yo I’m still sad that I never got to do the character breakfast, I’d always wanted to do that before it got closed. I vividly remember doing the laser maze and the 4D theater, for my birthday once I actually got to be part of the double dare live show! I see you on your sister’s channel so it was nice to see yours on my recommended, your content is funny and right up my alley!!
I hear theme song of spongebob when the red thing happen
NO!!! Really enjoyed going back in time though 😊
7:40 😂 you are hysterical
Thank you 🙏 😭
yall are hilarious
Those locked in soap dispensers in the showers are a new trend in hotels and I’m so here for them
Would have loved to see the old bathroom look.
“Where the F*** is my time capsule?” Took me out 😂😂😂
I'm laughing so hard. What were the basketballs hitting your door? I used to work for Holiday Inn and stayed there with my family when it just turned over. It was fun, but yeah, the maintenance was not good back then. So no now, but we did get a Jimmy Newtron room.
that’s exactly what it sounded like! honestly, I am kind of super jealous that you got a Jimmy neutron room, that was my favorite nickelodeon cartoon growing up 😭
Thank you as always for the support
🙏
I didn’t think your review was fair until I watched the end, very fair summary. The $50 resort fee is a huge negative, I wouldn’t stay there because of that alone.
Nice RSVLTS!
I have to say what a shame to see the before and after of this place.
But the Pizza bothers me. It really didn’t even looked cooked. Yikes. lol.
Good video. 👍
I actually worked at the Nickelodeon hotel starting just before grand opening and going for about two years. The hotel actually changed ownership 2 or 3 times in the last 6 months I was there.
I been here like 3 or 4 times and it's so fun. I miss the candy store. Many fun memories here. The ice cream slaps btw
NO I would have to pass on that hotel. Also Ryan I love your videos, you’re doing such a great job! I laugh ALOT! Great content in your videos and fun information. ❤
Long format content✅
Historical content✅
Ryan, I truly love this video I hope for more like this
Can’t even say this is a pity view
And no, I would not stay there
I haven’t stayed there, but I did play Donatello 😂
NO, I WOULD NOT STAY THERE. Love your videos!
Life was more colorful, more fun in the 90's. Everything today is just so meh. Bland designs in restaurants, and just nothing unique.
Not him being out of breathe after getting down from the bunk bed 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
NO I WOULD NOT STAY THERE. We actually stayed there back in the Nickelodeon days and it was horrible then.
YES i would stay here for sure sure
Do SoakCity next 👌
There are actually a few remnants from the nick hotel outside the hotel. Like on the giant lobby window on the outside you can faintly see a bit of jimmy neutron that’s been painted over. Also some numbers and signs stayed the same during the transition
I used to watch your videos
Didn't expect that plot twist 😂
I don't think I'd ever stay there... younger me would likely think differently though.
Wanted to add that these history videos are great!
wow! that place use to look so fun and colorful 😢
The hotel is comeing back eheheeh
Indeed
Omg yall im 💀💀💀!! I took a gummy last night went to sleep and woke up this morning and I stg I'm still high lol so the demon bit was even more fucking hilarious HAHAHAHA.
YES
As someone who went to this hotel a couple times between 2011 to 2015 I feel sad
One of us really wants to stay there. One of us is on the fence. I think it will be a YES
Just upgraded to the DJI Pocket 3 from the Pocket 2. So excited for it to get here. Want to use it for Wrestlemania this weekend.
I stayed there as a kid for my birthday and did the slime time tv sho, when I asked about the theme park shi was gone. Krazy
NO! (The no was for proof I watched until the end not for your hilarious take on things). Thanks for the history lesson, Professor Ryan.
Good this is so sad
