    The nozzle isn't straight because that part doesn't screw in you have to center it and then tighten the ring

      The beer was carbonated for the most part. I force carbonated it a bit. Worked great!

    I got one of these for Christmas. Found the regulator wouldn't work. Customer service was awful. Had to purchase another regulator. Adked what the small white washer was for, no reply. Directions don't help.

    Its 2 years after your upload, do you still use it? And did force carbonation work?
    There's a version for sodastream gass bottles making this a bit more interesting.

    Cool video thanks! I jus bought a similar Nutrichef mini keg and I am going to be trying my first force carb in a few days. I wanted to ask if you have gotten the ideal force carb PSI level and time frame ( in refrigerator) down yet to share? I have read a lot of different thoughts on how high to put the PSI, how many days to leave it ect... any input from your experience would be greatly appreciated!

      I've been bottle carbonating my beer first for 2 weeks, then pour it in the keg. I think using the carbonation sugar drops helps with the flavor. I haven't forced carbonated yet in this keg. I might try it with my next brew. I'm cold crashing a light lager right now and I'm bottling it tomorrow. CHEERS and thanks for checking my video out.

      I still love it for my home brews. Beer drips a tiny bit after pouring, I just put a cup under it. Great for 1 gallon batches or, fill with a few crowlers or growlers.

    How is this holding up for you? I just got it for Xmas and it seemed to work fine, but I left it at 5psi overnight and then came back the next day to no pressure/gas. I didn't use that little white washer for anything and i'm wondering if that need to go in the regulator. Or do I always need to turn the pressure valve to off after each use?

      works great still. I put a homebrew in it last time and it really boosted the carbonation.

    Did you ever go straight from the fermentor and force carbonate. Wanted to know how it worked out for you?

    Hello, thank you for the video.. . Can you carbonate a 5 or 6 gallons mash batch with a co2 cartridge?

    • @DickiesBeerReviews
      @DickiesBeerReviews  2 місяці тому

      I don’t think so. The little cartridges on this 1 gallon don’t last too long.

    I don't know if I would buy this one just because of that spring and the lack of instructions about it!

      I've used it twice now and it works great! Does exactly what I want it to do. It was a bit of a pain at first but I don't have to take it apart to clean it. CHEERS

    Would it work with n2 for nitro cold coffee ?

    • @DickiesBeerReviews
      @DickiesBeerReviews  10 місяців тому

      I'd say no...it would fit a No2 cartridge but I think it would need a different regulator gauge.

  • @auxrush

    anyone know what the difference is between this and a nitro keg? What's different in the faucet?

    • @DickiesBeerReviews
      @DickiesBeerReviews  Рік тому

      The gas is the difference. This one I used a CO2 cartridge. I could use Nitro (N2) cartridges. www.amazon.com/Royal-Nitrogen-Chargers-Coffee-Makers/dp/B0B4BLQ6KH/ref=asc_df_B0B4BLQ6KH/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=598295306857&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=2731968559141260990&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9030809&hvtargid=pla-1688167682371&th=1

    im confused. So after you make your homebrew, you bottle it with teaspoon of sugar to produce carbonation in the bottle? Then you empty it into the keg? I thought the keg would carbonate your home brew. I thought it worked like this: you add the flat home brew into keg and then it will carbonize when you pour it

    • @DickiesBeerReviews
      @DickiesBeerReviews  10 місяців тому

      The beer conditions in the bottles. It does carbonate but doesn't always have good carbonation. You do it your way, I'll do it mine.

    • @rubenugarte8999
      @rubenugarte8999 10 місяців тому

      @@DickiesBeerReviews no need tog et defensive. I was honestly asking because i was confused. I really just wanted to know if one can carbonate the flat homebrew in that mini keg

    • @DickiesBeerReviews
      @DickiesBeerReviews  10 місяців тому

      @@rubenugarte8999 you can keg condition beer without bottling but this is just a co2 cartridge 1 gallon keg. You can't carbonate it and seal it like a larger keg. This keg just serves beer and provides better carbonation in my opinion. You can pour beer from a brewery growler or crowler in this keg and serve it like a beer on tap. I use it for the better carbonation and bigger head on the pour.

    Thanks! Points for effort. But you made a video of the blind leading the blind. For a quality video, you would have gone through and made all your mistakes on your own, then started over and videoed yourself doing it from the start, WARNING US about where the ambiguity and possibility of mistakes are so we aren't sentenced to suffering through it too, which is kinda the point of an informational video.
    The spring is a return spring to bring the faucet valve back to its resting seated "off" position after you draw a beer. Instructions DO show where it goes, and they mention it is optional.
    Your faucet wasn't straight because you didn't (1) tighten the faucet mount (yes, it comes off, although the instructions don't say that) fully onto the body of the spear (that changes the position of the faucet) and (2) adjust the angle of the faucet before tightening the ring. That's what the tiny little splines on the faucet mount are for.
    You DO have to cut your own hose. That is a defect, because the manufacturer knows the right length better than we do. They could have cut 2 hoses for us, and you could shorten yours if you wanted to. Much easier. Why do they hate us? Enjoy your brew!
