Its the outcome of wilful ignorance and a population of wilfully ignorant peoppe accepting the illusion if freedom as freedom. When its actually slavery. Thank those who supoort "law enforcement". This a case of "law enforcement" doing something that bothers you. What about police who do something that bothers someone you dont know.
I have $5k for the first person to cite where in our constitution that "we the people" (which includes me) gave government the authority to police society or us as individuals. For anyone who trys, this challange has been in going since 2017 and seen by almost 300k people. If government has even a spec of authority over you. Then you are not free. The red coats were the british policing forces of the day.

Report him to his supervisor and internal affairs. Give them the evidence from his brothers comments and threats. That is intentional targeting and abuse of power. Couple complaints and he will have to explain his bias.
Same thing happened to a buddy of mine who owned a tow truck company. He had ticketed 3 of his trucks with minor infractions within a week.
It was over a tow he gave to the DOT officers sister. Needless to say, he is no longer DOT.

The Pontiac Michigan scales had been closed a year or so. The ground around the scale was horrible so we always chose left lane. Well I get down to the scales and the sign lights up to enter. I’m in the left lane.Nobody is gonna let a Mich. gravel train over so I didn’t even try. I weighed a 161,000 pds. As I go by scales The flashing emergency lights on squadcome on. Now I have to stop. He writes me a tickets. I’m going to court. I get there over a 100 drivers are lined up to pay the fine. It was like a $350 dollar ticket for missing scale. but they were so nice lol.If I plead guilty I’d get a $200 ticket and zero points. I paid it but it gives me gas to even think about it.

Tim: For the low tire thing, I would have a monthly certification done by at least 3 shops on air pressure. Get a notarized and signed record, if you don't already have one. When DOT tries to shut you down, you would then have the paperwork associated with that truck, and would be able to show it and cut that kind of crap off at the pass. And, at the least, you'd be able to show any inspector, cop, judge, prosecutor, etc., that your trucks are in good, safe, working order.
And, like most people, I think this DOT cop is screwing with you just to screw with you. And you're absolutely right: It isn't just to shut someone down, who is trying to earn an honest living, an honest day's work for an honest day's pay. I'd go after the DOT for harrassment, since that sounds like what this DOT cop is doing.

Tire manufacturers have charts that show the load capacities of tires vs. air pressure, you can find them online to argue your case. Tires do not need to be aired to maximum pressure if you are running less than maximum load. I do the same on my rigs especially if running on rough roads.

working it out 85 p.s.i./110p.s.i. is roughly 75%, and with the load being carried taken into account, then I wouldn't think twice on running a load like that, as long as well as the equipement and load wasn't more than 75% of the vehicles m.a.m. weight. it is totally different if the total weight m.a.m was exceeded then the tires got to work harder which creates heat that in turn increases the tire pressure to the point of a potential blow out situation, then lives are at risk, but 75% on a trailer which doesn't do massive amounts of work apart from braking, which more tire grip is prooven to provide better braking in an emergency situation. then 75% inflation wouldn't make me think too much about it, be different if it was on the tractor unit, as both the front wheels and rear wheels work hard with steering and drive.

The person was probably picked on in high school by someone who looked like Tim or their daddy liked to beat them after pounding the liquor all day. It is a well established fact that people with power and control issues have them due to previously having no power and control. When I deal with people like that I always ask them if they were beaten by daddy when he he came home from the bar drunk.

The Dot gets over zealous at times .when i ran a dump truck for aready mix plant the Dot had stopped my truck 3 times in one day in the city limits of the town the plant was in and had no violations .

O-H-I-O Porter greetings.🇺🇸 Those old Ford L9000 trucks were so nice looking. I loved the dash, but many of them that I’ve seen had extra screws or bolts in them because they rattled like crazy. I’m wondering if that was because they just ignored any minor issues & it just got worse. Nice truck you have.🤩 The DOT…It seems that someone has it in for you & I think that is really UNFAIR. Could it be that they are abusing their so called “authority”? I know that they have a black list book & they can’t deny it. Hope it works out well for you. At least you’re doing the right thing & recording the process, but be careful if they tell you to not record them. I think they would be wrong to say that, but they sure won’t like anyone stepping on their toes. It’s good to help a friend in need. That’s what truckers do. Take care! 🥰😎✌️

Dang, that attitude and his aggressive (violent) behaviour is way out of line and NOT in line with operations and their guideline!
Did you lawyer up and see this through?
Amazing channel Tim and Braxton! You two are just badass!!

I’m not a fan of DOT myself, I recently had surgery that put me out for a month, it was on my rear end so I couldn’t sit down, my first day back a trooper pulls me over for an inspection and I explained to him I couldn’t sit for very long (running 30 min at a time to each load) he proceeded to take an hour and a half on a level 2 and wrote me a violation for a spring that goes to the back of my glad hand (serves no mechanical purpose) that slid down the air line. I slid it back into place and still got the violation. If this surgery wound does heal properly I’m suing the hell out of them!

70% of 120 psi is 84 dot can't even call 85lbs under inflated tire.

Contact scale supervisor. Document it all.
I have gotten into it because I run lower air pressure in my super singles to keep from tearing tire up. Michelin has recommended air pressure chart for tires all sizes based on weight moving.
Have tire man come out sign off all tires equal pressure.

There is NO POINT in running max air pressure on a tire that never sees max weight!

  • @Jackknife-TV

@Gentry and Sons Trucking A flat tire is an 8-point deduction; an under-inflated tire is a 3-point hit. By law, a flat tire is any tire with a psi at 50% or less of the tire's stated maximum psi embossed on the sidewall. For every 10 psi a tire is underinflated, there is a 1.5% loss of fuel economy.
I had a flat tire data queued because Maryland DOT couldn't get the pressure for my inner drive tires because their gauge was different than a normal gauge and the officer could not get it to fit on the valve stem so he said all my inner drives were flat......so I had to stop and have my tire pressure checked and recorded on the work order

I worked for Schneider for many yrs driving a tanker. Dot always waved me through. It sucks that big carriers catch a brake but the little guys who have to hustle to find there way don't ever catch anything but a hard time. Hell I even always had a load and that by itself isnt so right.
