this really spoke to me, trisha.
kinda got emotional, i'm embarassed to say. been with my prince charming for almost three years and i'm just now starting to believe him when he says that he loves all that I hate about myself. years of counselling, self hate, etc. i'm 21 and just now starting to accept who I am. size 8/10 and on the road to self acceptance. it's a tough road especially considering my past which i wont disclose.

Obese is a medical term for having a large BMI, and not to be mean (I love Trisha, she's beautiful and I love watching her videos) but Trisha technically does qualify as that. But what she's talking about in this video, as Nicola pointed out, is loving who you are. Because no matter what your BMI is, whether you're 'obese' or 'skinnny' you should love your body and who you are because looking around in the world everybody is beautiful, whether it's inside or out

You are lucky that no man has ever called you fat. I have been called fat many times, humiliated and dumped because of my weight. I have had gross guys hit on me and when I ignore them or polite decline them they tell me I am arrogant and too picky for a fatty. And I am a size 12. Guys do care about weight. Let's be real, OK. Stop deluding your viewers with false hope. Guys are willing to be all nice and sweet for the sake of hitting it and quitting it with a chubby chick. They dont bash a chubby girl after breaking up because they want to keep her on the backburner for future dry spells. But for long term, most guys want size 8 or below. Any woman who used to be obese and lost a lot of weight to a normal weight can tell you the difference in respect and interest she received from men (and the only difference was her weight) was shocking and disturbing.
Kirsten M that's horrible that you have had to go through such negativity from men. Men can be so cruel. The truth is that men AND women can be hurtful towards women no matter what size they are. There are woman who are a size 6 or 8 and they will get called fat regardless thus scarring their image on what is acceptable. There are women as well who lose weight and become smaller and sometimes they still get told they are not good enough, and even though they lose the weight they can still get bashed for their stretch marks or lose skin. It's society and its a fucked up one at that. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I think your beautiful!! There are times where Trish's messages aren't the clearest, but I think overall she just wants people to understand that no one will coddle you in life. No guy or girl wants to date the girl that always complains about her weight or thinks she fat (even if she is) You have to create that confidence in yourself no matter what size and usually that reflects how you are looked at. Not all the time, but it does matter. She is lucky she hasn't been called fat. :/ I was a size 16 and got called fat and got down to an 8 and still get called fat from dudes if I turn them down. There are some women that get favorable comments and advances and are lucky. But the ones that dont, we just have to stand together and lift each other up. Sorry to be long winded. It's just that self esteem is that one issue that we all our struggling with. I wish you the best love!

Right on. You spoke 100% truth there. I appreciate Trisha wanting her viewers to feel better about themselves but most of what she said about how men feel about women being overweight? Is completely wrong. They care tremendously about looks in regard to women. Men are very visual creatures. They fall in love with the way a woman looks. And unfortunately, no matter the age, they care what other people think. I know this is not all men across the board, but it's the majority of them. I have been skinny and I have been fat. When I was skinny I had way more respect and attention from men. When I'm fat I basically ignored. It's just the truth.
Well all I can say is that I myself prefer women who are more curvaceous. Every guy doesn't want model types. That's just me but I can't help thinking that I can't be alone on this. However I can understand if you are unwilling to believe me given the history with assholes who have treated you like shit. Just wanted to put that in there so you don't loose all hope for humanity :)
Toby my dad love more curvy women and so does my boyfriend so you aren't alone. It would take a lot of weight on a woman for my dad and boyfriend to consider them obese. I'm the same with men but it just seem smaller men are attracted to me but I'm more attracted to guys with weight on them. I don't care if he has a beer belly as long as he's no slouchy because that's when it's not attractive. I'm what society would call fat but I'm what a man who loves a nice set of real boobs, thick thighs, a fat ass and not so flat or huge tummy, THICK. I can dress sexy with the best of them I just do it to my weight. I walk around buck ass naked all the time around my boyfriend and not once does he make me feel like I'm not sexy. I have started working out but not because I want to be "skinny" but because I don't want to be thick and jiggly I want to be thick and tight. Ladies and gents you can be thick and healthy don't let society brainwash you.

I remember when a guy friend of mines told me that no guy would like a girl like myself because of my weight and I remember being so hurt because I felt like I had worth and that I was beautiful but yet here their was someone I trusted telling me that I was not worth it and that even hurt a strong person like myself so Trish you are blessed to have good friends because a lot of people are very shallow .

Hey Trisha, I actually really needed this. It felt very sisterly and genuine :) I'm trying to move on from unhealthy thoughts and habits that came from that, and unfortunately my body doesn't trust me anymore and things like weight are going out of whack and I'll have to wait until I stabilize again. This was affecting me a lot and I was embarrassed to be as sociable and confident as I used to be, and this really lifted my spirits up. Sometimes it's not some 'wake the fuck up' or 'the world means nothing' kind of talks one needs, but something just fun and light but also warmhearted, like this video. You were so beautiful here! P.S. Good luck with your new healthy lifestyle! I actually found you through Freelee. I find that rawtill4 gives me enough energy to be emotionally equipped for every day stuff and even negativity- I'm handling everything differently and I'm loving it! I would love for you to feel great every day too!

Beauty is subjective though. You may see yourself as one way while someone else sees the opposite. You just have to accept yourself for who and how you are. If people say mean things it's only because they hate themselves or something about themselves. Ignore them.
Well if your face is the issue, just apply the same principle as Trish's. you have a face, just love it for what it is. Change it, put makeup over it, improve your look from your outfits, don't even think about it. Just look at the mirror and appreciate your face for what it is. The last thing a man wants is a faceless chick.

Thank you for this. I am SO self conscious about pretty much everything having to do with myself and my body. My arms are either to fat, my legs are too fat/cottage-cheesy, my boobs aren't perky and look nasty, etc, etc, etc. it sucks because I am most definitely not shallow like this (far from it) when it comes to anyone but myself! I know that things aren't really that bad and I have a lot to be thankful for. But like you said, I just can't quite get out of this prison that is my mind. It is so incredibly hard. I am getting there every day but then I will just have this one bad day that sets me back. I am trying to get healthier in body and mind and that is all I can really do. I noticed that a year ago when I was a lot bigger into my spirituality, I felt MUCH better. I know that I need to get closer to God again, and I feel that that is definitely a part of it.

I'm confused.
Why is Trisha saying about how you should like your body, But she's curvy, and she cried in her video's about her weight, and she goes to the gym to lose weight, why is she saying that she loves her "sexy thighs" when she clearly wants to lose weight? It's just confusing me... does anyone else feel like she's lying to herself?
She always says you should love yourself for how you look right now, because change takes time. But she has never said that you shouldn't change if you want to. But you should want it for yourself, not because someone else tells you to :) She probably works out because she's gained some weight this year, and wants to be more healthy.

this is absolutely one of my favorite videos Trisha's made. I have so many issues involving my appearance and everything she said has made me really think about how much the things said are said by me in my own head and now I realize how much I need to change. so I just want to say thank you so much to Trisha, even though she probably won't even see this comment.

This video made me so happy. I literally almost cried. For all the times Trisha has felt bad about herself, I wish she would watch this and remember a time when she was in such a good place. And for me personally, I feel empowered
how she's only really posting happy videos like these since she got into a relationship that it makes me think the only reason why she's happy is because she has a boyfriend. Dangerous way to live imo. I don't think it's a good idea to make your happiness dependent on someone else because I feel like Trish will just spiral back down to where she was if they ever do break up.
Yeah, when they break up she going to start posting those crazy videos about how she hates boys and stuff. But I can't wait for when she finds the one and they get married.

I think this was filmed before she actually had a boyfriend. She mentioned earlier in the video that a guy she's currently interested in complimented her about her body, so likely this video was made before she was in a relationship, she was just interested in a guy but doesn't have a boyfriend at the time this was filmed. At least that's how it appears to me.
She mentioned that now that she startef working out, she no longer is on her meds...
