  • "It's perfectly reasonable for those NATO countries, and other countries that have a common border with Russia to mobilise troops to take up a deterrent posture."
If Ukraine takes advantage of 'confusion' inside Russia, then Putin's days are 'numbered,' says Lord Dannatt.

Prigozhin has criticized the way the war is being fought and has demanded more aggressive tactics, he is also very much in favour of battlefield nukes being used in key locations !
A very large proportion of the Wagner group were eliminated in the earlier battles in Ukraine and were replaced by criminals which were taken out of prisons so now there is a psychopath with an army of criminals marching towards Moscow with severe demands, I can't see this ending well !

The Wagner column has supply trucks, and they can get food and fuel "from the land": they, after all, are driving thru normal Russian cities (with the normal city infrastructure, incl. grocery stores and petrol stations. And the column also contains air defence weaponry (incl. Pantsir-S) - which is how they managed to shoot down a plane and a few helicopters that were sent to fire at them.
Logistically, this operation appears to have been well-thought-out.

Several helicopters as of now. If Moscow lifts up it's airfighters they could quickly take out the few air defense system that Wagnerites command. The fact that this still hasn't happened and instead only seldom helicopter is engaged suggest to me that there is strong support for Wagner within Russian ranks and they are refusing to lift a finger.

Obviously, any RU units that leave their defensive positions in Ukraine to aid RU forces in Russia has a huge benefit to Ukrainian military. It's good to finally hear someone with some authority on the matter state in no uncertain terms that the slow pace of the Ukrainian counteroffensive so far has been intentional: I've really disliked mainstream news coverage of the counteroffensive, emphasising "modest gains" and Zelensky "admitting" things are going more slowly than he would like. The counteroffensive could never be as slow as our countries' military support for Ukraine. 💙💛

So far the Ukrainian army has lost 15,000 dead, 30,000 wounded, and has lost 280 tanks and 300-400 fighting vehicles in this counter offensive. In other words, they are being wiped out.

Like he said, Putin chose his side. Will he go direct or remain in Rostov while he gathers more support and fed up Russian troops wanting to end this or fight for their freedom. Preghozin is a riddler of the greatest scale, but it’s possible that he is just saying it as it is now. He spent a lot of time with the foot soldiers and became more and more angry at the the incompetence of the supplies and RUNMod. Likely he has high up supporters behind closed doors, or is it just a Putins exit plan and Shoigu will get strung up. Let’s see. An infight certainly make things easier for Ukraine.
