I've gotten so much inspiration from watching your videos, I finally started my own aviation career the past 2 months. Thanks to you both! I hope to get there soon! I'm sharing my journey as a student as well, if anyone is interested in following along!
What a small world! I was stationed at Ellsworth while I was in the AirForce and did alot general aviation flying out of RAP back in the mid 90's. Congrats on the commerical. Next step is to find somebody you can sit right seat for or get your CFI. There's an accelerated school not far from you in Minnesota, you could have your CFI in10 days. Email me and I can get you more info. Good luck with your career! Sean
Love the stories, good learning lessons in all of them. I did have an alternator belt break once before I had my license. Now I always double check it twice when I fly.
Wish I had this info a few weeks ago! Pacific Flight Academy is one of the schools I called several times and left messages on their machine; radio silence... Have to hit it up next time, thanks for the info. Sean
Military vet and current Police Officer. Pending my class 1 exam next month, I’ll be starting my training here in PA. I do have full sleeve tattoos. My only concern is that I haven’t seen any airline pilots with tattoos or long sleeve shirts covering them. Am I going to run into hiring issues?
I’m thinking about doing this. Becoming a pilot. It has never been a better time to jump in! I would like to invest in real estate, but I also want to move out of the United States, and that pilot license can be taken anywhere in the world.
@@Patsworldbaby at my old school 75% of the people were foreigners from all over came to the US cause it’s cheaper and faster training usually. Some get married and stay some go back and convert their certs which can be quite a process but still worth it to some

Delta’s Wi-Fi works over the Pacific and the Atlantic. I’ve used it many times over the entire route to Asia and Europe for years now

Wellll kinda, you will get an FAA license in the USA not every country accepts that and you’ll need to transfer your certificates
@@lukenavis6252 have you ever heard of anybody doing this? Moving out of the country and converting there pilot license?

Guest would be great
Question: any knowledge of working for overseas companies? Like sightseeing companies in south east Asia?
Third comment. Love the info.
I am not scared until the wings break off. ;)
Fear does nothing but distract us from flying the plane. Have no fear... Fly the plane.
The only thing that’s stopping me is finances. If there’s a generous private plane owner willing to train me from zero please let me know!
let's pump statistics. start watching now.
Great stories, that’s how you learn without doing. P.s. Mike how about you have a giveaway for that cool shirt 👕 …….
