As the designer of the Sega ram cart - just a slight correction. The previous version of the board (from years ago) won't work with a 32X, this card was created specifically to deal with those problems and should (once it actually gets built - PCBs are in the post) work as intended. Still very happy for volunteers to get involved

The Fixel situation is getting probably too much lenience, I guess because of the good will Fixel has gotten from the 3DO stuff and also being a part of the MARS team. Most other people people would probably become pariah in the retro scene for pulling the same stuff, setting aside the terrible luck of lightning landing on the same spot twice supposedly for him. It really damages good will in supporting early projects. At the very least I know I'll never do another pre-order for a retro product in the future. It's either in stock, second hand, or even scalped--even that is better than these absurd pre-order situations that keep happening over and over.
The leniency comes from talking with him. There's ZERO pompous, arrogant, unrealistic expectations like we've seen from many other creators. He's trying his best and has had some bad luck. The only thing I'm really disappointed in him for is his public communication - He could have done monthly updates and people would have felt more comfortable. So, I truly think the patience we've shown him was earned.
lol I felt your pain when you went over the Taki stuff. Delay after delay but keep announcing new products. Seems legit Big fan really enjoy your channel it nice to have someone technical discuss these items versus click bate channels.
I fully understand and respect Fixels decision but I really don't want my money back. I would rather wait for my order even for the next couple of years. I preordered the Marty and PC-FX ODE and I am willing to wait for them. A lot of people in the discord group got pissed because nobody knew what was going on and people got wrong dates. Felix told me in April that he would ship my order in May. This didn't happen. So we were all waiting for news and were worried what was going on. So Felix, please don't cancel my order and just tell me that you can ship the items until 2026. I will patiently wait.
Understandable. I was waiting for the IDE emulator. I don't really need it, but I would still love to buy it one day. Hopefully he can get help with the manufacturing. Using a 3rd party for shipping like Bob suggested would help too. I sell things on eBay from time to time and it's so time consuming.
fidel has handled this like crap. going radio silent for long ages of time, months. and refused at all times to show any photos, usually with snarky comments like you’re a jerk to ask. his attitude and behavior is atrocious and deserves calling out.
fixel told numerous lies and chose to ghost for months at a time instead of throwing anyone a bone. he was also really rude when asked for evidence that products exists, acting like this was a crazy request. many people agreeing it’s silly to ask for proof that expensive, paid in full, hardware exists too. what a world.

Last time I tried to install SAM, it kept doing this weird thing where it would close the game I'm currently playing AFTER I'd taken control and picked my own game to play. It was infuriating and I immediately unisntalled. Is it safe to set and forget it with the latest build, or are there still settings that can cause odd behaviour if I configure it wrong?
Yeah, those would have been perfect...especially the weird resolutions of the Sony. I appreciate the model numbers - Worse case, I'll pick up a used one cheap and give it a try.
@RetroRGB I'm not opposed to mailing them to you as long as you mail them back, ha. I haven't used them in years, but could verify they work in the next few days. Alternatively, if you wanted I could record some test videos and send the raw files to you.

None of the cheap capture devices capture at 422. Even the yuy2 chinese Amazon specials made compromises somehow
