How To Teach Your Distracted Dog Agility Training Focus: Crazy Husky Dogs Can Do Agility (Huskies)

Amadeus the crazy Siberian Husky dog lacks focus when he does dog agility competitions and is easily distracted by distractions such as people sitting on chairs, other dogs, or just running off to pee on the equipment or in the tunnel.
Amadeus likes to do agility, run and jump, just not necessarily when I want him to. As he is a Siberian Husky zoomies come as standard too, although he does normally come back when called if there is a fence.
We attended a Duo Hoopers and Dog agility workshop held in Croxton Kerrial, where we normally go for Hoopers competitions. The rings are normally fenced for competition, so it was a bit of a shock to find the class would be held in an open field, with no fence. I have two Siberian Husky dogs with dubious recalls. They come back and work when they want to.
The agility lessons were with trainer dog agility trainer Stuart Doughty. Stuart has been teaching for 15 years and is normally based in Evesham, UK where he has a proper training school with fenced arenas. The link to his website is here
