Nice video. Liked your still shots and time lapse at the end! Great idea to stop for the drone footage of the area - these will be great for establishing shots for their project, or even just to add to your library. Boring conference room for interviews - if you find you are doing a lot of this type of interview, you might want to start bringing backdrop sheets - solid colours or geometric patterns to cover up a boring or ugly wall. How do you handle charging for a travel day? 8 hour drive is a long time to be tied up where you can't shoot or edit! Pro tip for freezing up tailgates - Put some RV antifreeze in a spray bottle and keep it in your truck for when stuff ices up. I like to use RV antifreeze (pink stuff) because it is non toxic. Peace!
That’s a great idea about keeping a backdrop handy. Actually when I worked in South Dakota with this same organization we had a SD local on crew that had a vinyl backdrop that came in clutch.
For travel days I do 50% of my day rate.
Thanks for the tip about the antifreeze. My tailgate froze up again last week 😅 Need that in my truck!
Great video. I like this type of vlogs. Keep up the good work!
@@fiestadigitalmedia6601 thank you 🙏🏼 appreciate that!
Way to go, and it is a company that's growing, so $$ always rite for your service and work.
Thanks Jordis!
Travel pay is always needed.
Conference rooms are always super challenging. I picked up a Nanlite 60x with the projector for this specific use case. It’s become invaluable when having to shoot in boring spaces. Considering what you had to work with, your frames looked good!
@@RZtheDP ahh that would be nice to have 🤔 I like the look of them too. Does it come with different patterns to use?
Thank you! The client said they liked the frames as well 😁
@@scottsmokerx I bring it on every job and use it almost every time. It comes with a few gobos which are handy. I like how small and light it is, making it easier to transport compared to a full-sized projector. Because of that it can also be mounted on a light(er) duty stand. B&H sells it as a kit. Highly recommend!
@@RZtheDP that's nice to know! I'm always trying to find the right balance between usefulness and portability. It looks like won't take up too much space in my Pelican lighting kit. Thank you for the recommendation, appreciate it 🙏🏼
@ Same! Let me know if you have any questions. It’s one of those purchases that I wished I had made sooner. Great piece of kit!
@ it’s on my 2025 purchase list!
How do you like your key light.. Do you find it powerful enough for interviews. What monitors are you using on the fx6 and fx30
@@reggiebarnes26 yes, in most instances it’s bright enough to get the job done. The only time it isn’t is when I’m competing with the sun. When I do interviews outside, that’s when I wish I had something brighter. I do need an upgrade for that reason.
I have the Atomos Ninja V and the Atomos Shinobi II. The Shinobi II is really thin, which I like.
@ what are you thinking about going up to a 200 are 300 for the key light.. love you’re content keep up the good work
@@reggiebarnes26 thank you, appreciate that! Yeah I’d love to get a 600, but I’ll probably end up getting a 300
@@scottsmokerx ya I been looking at the gvm 300
