Absentee landlords warned over idle land in Kwale

Kwale governor Fatuma Achani has urged absentee landlords owning large parcels of land in the County to put the land into good use saying the County government will take over the unused land for development purposes.Speaking in Msambweni, Achani said the County government is also taking measures to repossess parcels of land owned illegally especially along the coastline in Diani warning land grabbers that their days are numbered. She said that the County government through the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission has repossessed kisite Mpunguti and Chale Islands from land grabbers.
