I haven't been on Laurel Lake, i bet, in 30 years. I remember it being deep and so clear in 50 feet you can see the bottom. Makes sense you would fish it in the winter the water would have some stain to it. Thanks for sharing the trip.
Love your channel, esp since I too am a ky bass man, and also fish by myself 98% of the time on Nolin. Last day i fished, Jan 2. I haven't fished Laurel or Cumberland YET. If I'm coming up 192 going west, what and where is best ramp for me, and go what direction....Let's hook up sometime. and thanks, keep hooking.
@@catsschmats thank you! I always put in at Marsh Branch or Flatwoods depending on which end of the lake I’m gonna fish. The upper end will have more color and I usually like that end better. I spend a lot of time up in the river as we call it. The lower end is usually gin clear.
Awesome man!, how was the ramp? I’ve only owned a boat for 1 1/2 yrs so I’ve not went while is bad weather. I was setting at home wishing I was fishing! That’s for taking me along for the ride!
@@JohnTarter-s4n thank you! It wasn’t bad. I mean it was snow covered but it wasn’t slick. I was a little nervous cause I had never launched on a snow covered ramp but I didn’t have any problems at all.

@@breadman8053 Laurel is really not my favorite lake for cranking but I can be productive. Laurel is usually a good scoping lake and the next 2 and a half months is the best time of the year for it in my opinion.
So Beautiful
That’s serious dedication right there! Good catches buddy!
@@chadstarrett1239 thanks buddy!
Glad you had a great day. Looks like a beautiful lake.
@@muddogger thank you! It’s probably the most beautiful lake I’ve ever been on. Deep, super clear, and completely surrounded by National Forest.

Will they be at the fishing expose this weekend n Corbin do you know
@@tbbrock0525 they won’t have a booth there but it’s possible that some vendors such as The Tackle Spot might have some of their baits available.
Just curious what length and power are you using in the bass pro cranking stick?
