Cedar Creek Lake 07/26/2024
Headed back up to Cedar Creek for the afternoon and managed to boat a few nice ones. The biggest came on a drop shot with a Zman TRD. The other two good ones came on a shakey head with a C&S Lures fat worm in green pumpkin with the tail dipped in chartreuse. Cedar Creek is a fantastic fishery and in my opion, the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources has done an amazing job with it.

Headed over ro Lake Cumberland with Gage Morgan from #C&SLURES. Me and my son Sam made a trip back to Cedar Creek today. Caught a few dinks, a couple that I didn’t have the cameras rolling on, lost a couple good ones, and managed to boat a nice one. These Cedar Creek fish are super healthy and seem to fight harder than fish on any other lake that I fish!

This was only the second time I’ve ever been on Cedar Creek and the first time was over 20 years ago. We started the evening off with me catching a 4 pounder which was the highlight of the day. I needed a change of scenery so I headed over to Lake Cumberland. Fished a Friday nighter at Laurel from 7pm to 2 am. I struggled in this one. I was never able to put 5 keepers in the boat. I caught a couple more after dark that I’ll add pics of at the end of the video. I included a cameo appearance of Gage Morgan and Gunner Whitaker yelling at me as they went by me on a point. 😂

This is my first attemtp at videoing my fishing and also my first time using GoPro cameras. Obviously I have alot to learn about them. First, the camera angle on my console mounted camera needs adjusted. Second, I learned that GoPro batteries don’t last very long. We caught several more fish after my camera batteries died. I have had zero luck ever fishing a spoon.. I need to hit Cedar before the end of the year haven't made it down there yet.
