I believe this fully . I was at 330 and I've started half scoops protein shakes to replace a meal durring my day. Down to 280 now. Still dropping. Currently just doing walking and yoga to start strengthening my joints again and work up a really good sweat. P.S - I learned the hard way. Drink more water if you use protein powder. It can dehydrate you or worse give kidney stones if you don't have enough moisture to not just rehydrate it but also oass it through your system. 😅 i learned this after my first 3 days of it. I was a lil dizzy found out oop you need a bit more water kid. Overall it's been incredibly good for me. Even with my hypothyroidism. It's a lil better fuel then your typical oatmeal or bigger meals. Great for developing an appetite if you don't have one too because many flavors. I use chocolate. This was a great and informative video. ♡ Keep on going folks you can be healthy and happy one step at a time ♡♡♡😊
I have had a BMI of 18 my whole adult life, but never looked good like the models that have the same BMI as me, but when i made sure to get 100g of protein a day, after 8 years of trying, i now look INCREDIBLE
I’ve found that after determining how much protein you need per day, you should subtract the protein calories in food by multiplying the number of grams of protein in the food by 4 (1g protein = 4 calories), then subtract this from the food’s total calories. This provides a more realistic view of amount of calories you’ll burn or store in your food.
@@HaileyLove11 My point is, although the body can burn protein as fuel or convert to fat, it’s more likely that your body will use it to repair itself and therefore shouldn’t be counted alongside other primarily ‘fuel-based’ calories.
@@Kingstanding23you will be overeating then. Current calorie counters include protein so if you are eating 2000 non protein calories vs 2000 calories including protein you will be gaining weight. If you want to be that specific just pay attention to macros instead.
Dude I am so mad at myself. In 2017 I started training. I had my diet in check and I was in a solid routine. I lost pounds and gained muscle. From intermittent fasting. And eating healthy. I didn’t even lift weights to often. And I looked great. After COVID I gained 60 pds from no gym. Now I’m struggling to lose the weight again. I was wondering about this. Thank you for the info
@@CillaMawarni Actually since I posted that I’ve lost 52 pds. I feel pretty damn good about myself now. I feel healthy and I can now keep up with my kids and all their extra curricular activities. Protein power is used as a supplement. If U need to meet your needs of protein per day and can't get it through foods then for sure! Drink another shake 😂 after all they taste amazing anyways
I have up to 5 protein shakes a day…. My view is, it’s better to have high protein shake than to have a slice of cake or a chocolate . Depends on the type of diet your using . I'm personally using a high protein - low carb (no starchy carbs) diet. In my case the diet whey protein is more appealing since it has lower carbs per 100g but has still packs a high dose of protein.
As someone else suggested, protein powders are not equal. Pick one that has 1g or less of carbs per serving and ideally no sugar, to help curb your sugar cravings (tackle insulin resistance).

It’s not calories in and calories out. It is how often you spike your insulin. You wanna lose weight then avoid spiking you insulin all day. That alone will force you to choose different foods. Eating those types of foods regardless of calories will help you lose weight because your no longer spiking your insulin. Everyone’s insulin spikes differently. That’s why some skinny people can eat like a horse, be lazy, not exercise and still stay thin. On the flip side. One can be overweight, eat “healthy”, go hard at gym and continue to be overweight. Hi, which one you prefer? Im trying to lose body fat. Whey Isolate or Whey Diet Impact?
Whey isolate is preferred as it contains less carbs and fat.
Whey isolate is a superior type of whey … that has been isolated to remove more of the fats and carbs…. Usually it’s 80-90% protein.
The downside is it’s usually more expensive… so there’s a cost vs quality consideration.
Often, lactose intolerant people will take isolate becuase it’s had almost all lactose removed
Got my plan, looks good ?
