I have been really looking forward to visit the filming locations of the series Hometown Cha Cha Cha (갯마을 차차차) and I'm so happy that I finally did over the Chuseok holidays from September 18th to 22nd! This is the PART 1 out of the two-part video that I have prepared for this Hometown Cha Cha Cha filming location vlog, which includes Days 0 and 1 from this Pohang trip. 🤍 FILMING LOCATION DETAILS
🌊 Location of the red lighthouse + breakwater, halmeoni's house, Yoon Hye-Jin's (actress Shin Min Ah) house and Hong Du-Shik's (actor Kim Seon Ho) house - Address: 경북 포항시 남구 구룡포읍 석병리 (Seokbyeong-ri, Guryongpo-eup, Nam-gu, Pohang-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea)
🌊 Gongjin Town Hall (석병1리마을회관) - this is the area where the elderly gathered and had a feast in the first episode. This filming location has also appeared in other episodes of the series. In real life, this is the town hall of Seokbyeong 1-ri. Address: 경북 포항시 남구 구룡포읍 일출로 207 (207 Ilchul-ro, Guryongpo-eup, Nam-gu, Pohang-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea). Note: Gongjin Townhall filming location is just a 2-minute walk from Hong Du-Shik's house.
🌊 Yoon Hye Jin's Dental Clinic (윤치과) - In real life, the first floor is a scuba diving equipment shop, whilst the second floor is a fishermen welfare center. Address: 경상북도 포항시 북구 청하면 청진리 429 (429 Cheongjin-ri, Chungha-myeon, Buk-gu, Pohang-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea). Note: Near the dental clinic filming location is the other red lighthouse featured in the series. The breakwater mural (particularly the whale paintings) surrounding the breakwater in front of the dental clinic were also featured in some of the episodes.

This is the airbnb where I stayed at, it is located at Seokbyeong-ri area of Guryongpo side of Pohang. The room is located inside a pension house, and is facing the iconic red lighthouse and breakwater in the series. The airbnb host is very nice and accommodating too!

I never watched any k dramas hometown cha cha cha was the first k drama I watched and it was so good . Thanks for making this vlog it was nice to see the locations.
Watching this video is like a trip down memory lane. OMG, I love Homcha so much 💙 that I just couldn't help myself but to smile and shed a tear at the same time. I miss them so much especially Kim Seonho. My seonhohada heart is both happy and sad. 🥲

I was busy doing my schoolwork and when I finished it, I was able to watch Hometown Cha Cha Cha episode 11 on Netflix. After watching the lastest episode, I opened UA-cam because I want updates of what is going on and I found this vlog first. I felt the excitement while watching this and I am very happy. Hello! I’m very sorry for my late reply~ yes I went around by taxi, you can download the app “Kakao T” to call taxis as it is not easy to just randomly hail taxis there~ buses also just come every 1 hour~

I am a new subscriber of yours. I happen to accidentally come across your vlogs where you visited Pohang to see the places where the Hometown chachacha was filmed. I got curious with your vligs because I have just watched Hometown chachacha via netflix. You are well-versed in English. You described what you saw and how you felt well as you visited the sites. Hopefully, I planning to go back to South Korea to visit our Korean pastor who lives in Pohang and see also the places where they filmed Hometown chachacha after this pandemic. I visited only Seoul in 2017.

Oh yes, to be able to arrive at Seokbyeong-ri Guryongpo (where the filming location for the HCCC film is) how, is there a bus terminal nearby? I plan to take a bus from Andong city to Pohang, about where to get off to get to that location. Btw, the vlogs on the first day were all in one location so that they could only be reached on foot or did you have to use a vehicle? Info yaa, thank you
Thank you so much for watching my vlog! Yes there are two bus stations in Pohang - one is Intercity Bus Terminal and the other is Express Bus Terminal. I think from Andong you should take the Intercity Bus. I took cabs to move around Pohang~
Okay. your vlog, the first day you went to Halmeoni's house, Hong Do Shik, Yoon Hye Jin, Gongjin Town Hall on foot because these places are in one area and visited the Dental Clinic by taxi, right? then you visit the Hong Do Shik boat which is on the hill (it also takes a taxi?) if I may know how much it costs a taxi to arrive at the Observatory from the dental clinic and how long it takes?
